wilardo conclusion spoilers
iz making charlotte the culprit instead of tiara was such a good move because the quality of the story would've downgraded horribly if tiara was actually responsible. it wouldve been a lame deux ex machina kind of situation
and giving charlotte the spotlight at the end as a transition so theres room to elaborate on her in ashe's conclusion seamlessly... ohh iz you cooked

noel levine is such a deceptive character. like geniunely almost every aspect of him is presented as something that's actually the opposite of how it usually is.
i finished the wilardo conclusion and one of the scenes that struck me the most was when noel said he never geniunely looked at claire and realized how much she changed while the trio was stargazing
i then realized that his whole eye motifs in his argos form challenges how eye symbolism is usually portrayed. instead of his eyes being a symbol of being "all-seeing", the "all-seeing-ness" is actually a look upon himself.
he didn't recognize claire's changes even after 10,000 loops because he was too focused on his own morality and clean conscience. because he was too afraid of becoming like his father, he allowed claire to suffer and die over and over, being unable to actually take initiative until the end when he couldn't allow her to die anymore. he also has an additional motive to keeping claire in the loop as he acknowledges himself, he doesn't want to let go of claire; ending the loop would mean he would never see her again.
there's very strong underlying selfishness in noel's actions, yet he hides it under a selfless facade, leading the players to believe that he won't kill claire because he's a good person, not because he's truthfully self serving. he isn't all-seeing in a godlike perspective; he's all-seeing in the sense where he only looks to himself and lives inside his own mind, unable to let go of his own attachments for the sake of others. the eyes are not pointed towards the world, they are pointed towards him.

alright what the fuck
it's so funny to me how charlotte was a complete menace during her introduction just for her to do absolutely nothing in the consequent routes/games

witch's heart writing is amazing and i'll stand by this but i hate how noel and ashe's parallels were basically shoved into our faces near the end
i'm saying this because i had an entire paragraph analyzing their dynamic in my notes app just and now my analysis is mediocre at best
