I'm fully aware of how parasocial and one-sided my attraction to fictional characters are. How selfish it is of me to assume these characters would care about me if they were real. However... it is exactly because these characters will never be real, I will never truly know what they would think of me. So what's the harm in assuming we'd fall in love and have a happily ever after together?

Besides... in my case, I genuinely want my fictional crushes to be happy. These characters aren't real, and they can't reciprocate my feelings. But I care about them so, so much. I hate it when they suffer. I hate seeing them sad or in pain. I just want to take care of them and kiss it all better, you know? Like I would do with an actual, physical partner.

They're not real, but my feelings are. It's distressing when I see people on social media criticize others for self-shipping. Maybe you need to write self-insert fanfic of yourself and your favorite fictional character, buddy. It would be very therapeutic for you, and maybe you'd finally understand the appeal. Life is too damn short, and you only live it once, so live a little and post fan art of you making out with your favorite! DO IT!

That fact that he’s really not here with me makes me completely miserable… i feel SICK , my chest it hurts IT HURTS !!!! I feel so empty without him , i feel so lost without him

I feel so unsafe and lonely unless I look at his source material or a picture… my entire wellbeing depends on if I can here his voice or look at him

I do EVERYTHING I can to make myself feel as close to him as possible… I buy clothes in colors that he wears, I wear my hair like him so we match , I fall asleep looking at a picture of him on my phone, I replay voice lines constantly, I rewatch the series all over again to the point of memorization just to see him , I listen to songs that remind my of him , I mimic his mannerisms and other things that he does, I keep myself in a daydream just so I won’t cry and feel alone …..

Why why why WHY WHY WHY ??? It’s unfair!!!

Why did I have to fall so in love with him ???

I just want to be with him … I don’t want anyone else!!! He’s mine he’s mine HES MINE HES MINE MINE MINE MINE !!!!!

I can’t handle this ….. I just want get lost in my daydreams again….. I despise when reality hits me in the face ……. It hurts, it burns , it aches!!!

Here I am minding my business on the yuuta x reader tag then bam! A megumi x reader fic and there's not even a whiff of yuuta x reader.

All I'm saying is if the tag has nothing to do with your post, then don't use it, but I could be wrong.
