I had a talk with my daughter tonight. after looking up the laws in oklahoma, legally, by law, since she is turning 12 next month. She has the right to choose who to live with full time. I told her if she is happy with the arrangement that I have with her dad currently or if she'd rather live with him and his girlfriend full time. I told her do not choose to make either your dad nor me happy. I want her to choose whatever she feels would make and keep her happy. it won't upset me, make me mad, or sad. She said she's happy with the current agreement/arrangement I have with her dad, one week at her dad's and one week here. alternating weeks. I also told her by law if she ever changes her mind I'll support her. Of course she's still welcome to come see me whenever she wants too. But by law she has the right to choose. I also apologized to her if I upset her made her anxious, or made her feel negatively about the conversation since it is a hard topic to talk about. I told her I just want her happy.

I also read that by law she also has the right to choose what holidays to spend with what parent. I think, the pdf I got from the .gov site wasn't really clear.

that was a difficult conversation to have with you're own child.

I don't want her to feel like I don't want her around, I always want her around, if I could I would. but by law it is her right and decision no one else's.

Regardless I support with whatever she chooses.

I give up you win I'm done trying if I can't get a simple update on the aspects of my daughters health none the less be informed about doctors appointments she has from you from simple communication from you I give up I won't try anymore makes me think I'm foolish for thinking that if something happened to lilith you'd contact me. whether she has an appointment and the results of that appointment. I doubt you'd tell me if she was sick, hurt or in the hospital in the future. I surrender you win I give up. I'm done trying. you can have whatever you want and do whatever you want I know I haven't been the greatest mom and I know now lilith probably prefers you and atom over me and I accept that now. I'll do whatever you want me to do. give you full custody or sign my rights over. since I'm not respected enough to even know about appointments or regards to my daughters health. I get it I'm not needed. I accept lilith doesn't need me. she has you and atom and your parents. liliths 11 now and has the ability to decide who she'd rather be with. and I have a feeling it's you and atom which is the better choice and I'm not going to argue. I'm just done trying. you win. I lose. if you wanna take me to court that's fine I surrender. I'm just done. done with the lack of communication and the lack of respect as her mother. I can't do it anymore. I understand you don't give a shit about me and wouldn't care if I just disappeared or straight up died. I'd like communication when it's about our daughter. but for the last two years that's been impossible. so I'm throwing in the towel. I get the hint. I'm not needed. so I'll stop trying. you win. you fucking win.
