Wolfburn Whisky

Here’s a distillery that opened in 1821, but closed down roughly 50 years later. Some entrepreneuring fellows have “reopened” it by building Scotland’s most northerly distillery up near Thurso that started running in 2013. Whilst those of us who live in the UK will soon be able to buy theirs online, if you live anywhere further north than Thurso in Europe it seems you will have to get on a boat. Not all the way to Thurso, but one of Viking Line’s, as they’ve gone and signed Wolfburn as a “travel retail exclusive brand”.
