I was wondering when someone was going to send me a gross gif. Finally got my first one, and I gotta say I’ve seen it like 30+ times in the last three days 🤷‍♀️

I handle human remains for a living, and have had to do quite a few dissections.

I’m only making these posts so other people don’t have to see that stuff, because most people aren’t researchers who have spent the last 6 years studying anatomy and poking at things on lab tables.

there’s so many details in mouthwashing that make me wanna gnaw on a fiber optic cable like the way jimmy and anya talked about how curly’s lucky to not be fossilized from the crash and then cut to curly in the cryopod AAAAAA!!!! AAAA!!!

OH I hadn’t thought of this! That is a very cool detail!

One detail that drives me up the wall is that Jimmy only ever seems to mourn and feel guilt over Daisuke’s death (the tombstone, all of the pink hibiscus flowers, the Walkman that he sees when walking backwards).

I get he doesn’t see Anya as a person, or really care for Swansea at all, but Curly was supposedly his best friend. Yes he “saves” curly with the cryopod, but that’s after the whole Feast scene, where he goes out of his way to hurt curly. There are also several moments where he seems to hate Curly or be jealous of him.

Daisuke is the only PERSON he actually expresses genuine guilt over. Every other aspect of guilt is not because he has hurt these people, but rather the fear of consequences. (I.E. we see horse fetuses everywhere but Anya is never seen in those moments). I feel like that has probably been said before, but I do find it interesting.

Though, now that I think about it there is the scene where Jimmy takes the mouthwash bottle from Daisuke. Daisuke tells him here that he’s always been a failure, and struggled to do right or find his path in life. The only reason he was even on the Tulpar is because someone else got him the job to try and help him be a better version of himself.

Jimmy sees himself in Daisuke. Daisuke’s mother was the someone else that got him this job; the someone he hoped wouldn’t blame herself for his death. Jimmy is only here because Curly got him this job; to help him be a better version of himself. I feel like Jimmy was not intending to help Curly by putting him in the cryopod, but rather trying to pay back what he did to Daisuke in a strange roundabout way.

So something I realized and kept cooking on because I dont know anyone else that would know this but

Mouthwashing is giving modern Titus Andronicus. It isn't the exact same but there are moments and big plot points that just make me think it's similar. Man, Mouthwashing really do be a modern Shakespearean tragedy.

I can go into further detail if you'd like.

Updating again, because it has gotten worse. This user has now started to use random names so you can no longer filter for “Russian”. The content and harassment has also evolved. TW list is updated.

Such as: sexual organ removal, scat fetish, vomit fetish, etc.

• As well as harassing users in the comments of their posts or DMs with slurs or promoting the legalization of rape.

• NOTE: Harassment has now changed to threats of sexual violence or encouraging users of suicide.

I find it interesting that the person who keeps posting all of the messed up videos in the mouthwashing tags also keeps posting discord server invites.

Like…are ya that lonely bud? Do you need friends this badly? That you’ve just resorted to rage baiting just to have someone speak to you?

On a different note, I’d like to give the tags a deep clean so @ every other fan here that isn’t gross, feel free to send asks about the game. Fanart, ideas, opinions on it, fanfics (especially these of Anya because I feel like a lot of the ones I’m finding are more to the taste of that guy up there 👆 and I’d like to find better ones).

Hello everyone, just sending a reminder to younger or more reactive tumblr users in this fandom,

Please do not go out of your way to interact with users who are posting upsetting content or replies.

They are like toddlers, and any attention is good attention. You are only feeding them when you comment on their posts telling them that they are bad or similar comments aimed at them. And much like toddlers they will learn that bad behavior is what gets them the attention they want.

Just…block, report them and filter the content you don’t want to see. Like my posts suggest.

And if you do wish to continue to interact with them, please DO NOT @ other users in your direct interactions with these gore-mongers. I realize those of you tagging me and others are trying to spread awareness and do good, but doing it directly in the posts of these individuals is not the way to do it. You are only putting other users at risk of seeing their harmful content or being directly harassed/threatened in DMs.
