Fuglafjørður 2018
The view struck me taking this quick shot. It was drizzling when I was walking on the beach and thinking “Drizzle isn’t that bad. It’s nice, actually”. Suddenly it stopped drizzling and this gentle light started shining through the clouds. It felt as if the light embracing the village, the mountains, the bay, the beach, and me. I adore that moment so much. The weather of this islands is often described as “unstable”, “changeable”, “unpredictable” and these are so true. I admitted myself “rain bringer” because I was frequently annoyed with sudden pouring rain just after I left home. (But to my credit, I was not always unlucky, I’m telling you) I also encountered beautiful moments like considerably grey sky suddenly clearing up after coming out of a tunnel only in a few minutes. When sharing this story with a friend of mine she chuckled and said “it is said that you can experience all kinds of weather in a day here in the Faroes.”
