What do you think?
Were the legends, myths, gods and fiction essential to the survival of mankind?
Was it possible to survive with rationality, all along the million years?
Were the earth and the people who made it a world, already peaceful enough to answer the simple questions of : How must to evade an epidemic or a famine? How must peace be sought in a hostile wilderness? How to sleep on it and why to be patient and not take wrongfully even when you can? How to convince a man to stand in ranks?
As someone said and I quote, A man does not bow to a man who does not bow to God.
I do not endorse the above as fully correct, but there is a point in it. The art of nurturing a pampered royalty in the iron hands of a powerful General is only by legends, myths, gods and fiction.
It otherwise would not have been possible for people to find peaceful sleep and it would not have unhooked the burden that human carry along. Survivability of Human multiplied by communication and collaboration. And while no two humans think alike, fiction filled the voids in human imagination system until the voids were replenished with reason or research.
For a human to safely ferry across the ocean of extinction, his sail was to be devoid of any voids, so as to trap some air. It served human good to do the patchwork on it with beliefs of ‘Legends, myths, gods and fiction”.
PS. Though it might feel wrong to have believed some false legends, myths, gods and/ or fiction. It actually was a necessity of time, that too for our own good. The patchwork on sail did help in trapping some air of ‘hope and clarity’.
