This is the exact thought process I had. We as a fandom like to see erik from Wille's rose tinted glasses, but let's not forget that he's mama's boy. Let's not forget that the public eye hurt him too and let's not forget that he was a HIERARCHY BELIEVING MAN!!! he didn't hate being kronprins (as far as we know).

Here are 2 ways to look at Erik:

The fun one. This is the way the fandom perceives him the best. Yes, he used gender neutral pronouns towards his brother's crush, and he so obviously knew. If he had lived, we know he would've been so protective of Wilmon against his mother. He was honestly such a slay!

The terrifying one. This is the way I perceive him. He played a porno at the Hillerska initiation. He was brash, charming, his mother's son. He was the Crown Prince. He had to leave his girlfriend for the Monarchy, why can't Wille just pretend to be straight?
