Adding the plaintive pop girly Carry On cover and yet another TV use (I think it's up to about 9 now?) of Dire Straits' Brothers In Arms, that isn't even about brothers. And Sam's hilarious Suburban White Dude natty civilian threads. And the so-bad-I-laughed fourth wall break by the crew at the end.

finale really was funny. like it's easy to forgot that along with being bad it was also funny. sam's single piece of toast. the wig. deans 10 minute monologue after he gets impaled. the car being in heaven. dean jr. the implication that cas is alive and in heaven and just isn't talking to the winchesters. jenny the vampire in a juggalo mask.

The problem with being a fan of Supernatural, quite apart from the fact that I am a fan of Supernatural, is that I've been forced to process so very many incredulous things since 2005 that I just straight up forget about them.

It's like the filing cabinet in my head that's labelled 'JFC, what NOW?' only has so much space, so occasionally my brain just has a little tidy sort-out and stacks the overflow into those cardboard murder evidence boxes and trundles down to the basement with them.

Then, whenever someone says something like, "Remember that time the CW did a focus group to decide whether Dean and Cas were allowed to be gay?" I just go THEY WHAT??! before remembering that yes, I was there. I very much was there for that. *ben affleck smoking jpeg*
