DIY face scrub. When I am having really bad breakouts (and picking my skin) I use this home regimen to clear my skin FAST.
2 tablespoons of baking soda. 1 tablespoon of lime or lemon juice (fresh squeeze only). 1 teaspoon of a carrier oil (olive oil, avocado oil [my fav!], coconut oil, ect.). 1-3 drops of an anti-bacterial or anti-fungal essential oil (rosemary, lavender, tea tree, eucalyptus, ect.).
Mix all ingredients together until an even paste is made. Add more citrus juice or carrier oil as needed. Lightly scrub face, and let sit on skin for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
Please note this scrub may burn or irritate your skin if you have open wounds or inflamed acne. I personally use it anyways because it helps the healing process, but it does sting for the first few minutes. Essential oils can cause allergic reactions and skin irritations. Apply a small amount of oil to the hand or arm before using to check for reactions. If you are not familiar with essential oils, please start by using 1 drop only. After rinsing your face, there may be a trace amount of carrier oil residue on your skin. This is ok, as it acts as a moisturizer, but lightly dap off excess oil if you wish. You may not need to use a face lotion after using this scrub because of the oil residue. Do not use more than once a week.
*Use at your own risk. Check with your doctor before trying any new regimens. I am not responsible for any unwanted reactions. This works for me, but may not work for you.

You should be here...
1 year and 2 months ago, I lost my mom. We struggled with our relationship, as she was my only family, and times were tough. She did the best she could, but because I didn’t have the life my friends had, I resented her. After I graduated high school our relationship got better, but we still had our moments. About a year and a half ago I decided to move out of state to get away from an ex and start a new life with my now fiance. My mom was scared to be alone, and wanted to move with me. We got in a terrible fight because I could not afford to take care of her. We did make up about a week before I actually moved, and she came to visit me as I was packing up the last of my things. I never knew it would be the last time I would see her. Would hug her. Would give her a kiss on the top of her head because I’m literally a foot taller than her...
2 weeks after I moved, she passed away. Thank god I had a great, long talk with her the night before, and the last thing I said to her was “I gotta go, I love you!” because it was late and we had been talking for an hour and a half. I would have never hung up the phone if I would have known about the phone call I was to receive the next day...
Anyways, it’s been a year and 2 months now... and the pain is still so real. I miss her every single day. There is not a day, much less a moment, that I don’t think about her. I’m trying to continue living and do positive things with my life.. but it doesn’t replace the emptiness I feel without her here..
I’m sure I will post about my mom later on in my blog.. I was just thinking about her because I got engaged to be married 2 months ago.. and I wish she was here with me to help make wedding plans. It won’t be the wedding I’ve dreamed about without her by my side...
I love you so much, momma. I can’t wait to see you again...

Western Governors University
Hey tumblr, anyone out there a WGU student? I have JUST started my first term for the teacher’s college. I have never taken an online class before, so this is definitely a learning curve for me! So far I am very impressed with how often the school and mentors communicate with you and make sure you are starting everything like you should. I am doing okay I think on keeping myself motivated to work, but anyone out there who has tips or would like to stay in communication while going through school, please pop in and say hi!

My New Blog
Greetings fellow tumblr users! My name is Belinda and this is my new tumblr page. I have been a tumblr user for 7 years, https://spillyourbrains.tumblr.com/   reblogging cute pictures and inspirational quotes. Throughout those years, I have had a lot happen in my life, as we all have, and am finally at a point where I am making healthier changes to live a happier life. Please join me in my journey as I open up to the world about my past, depression, support, motivation, school, travels, home life, and much much more. I am currently blogging on a 2007 Dell laptop with a built in webcam, so the quality of my post and videos will increase as my life and finances get better. Thank you for reading my post.
