I don't think suicidal people get enough credit for not acting on their suicidal thoughts.

This post is for all of you who have survived the urge to end your life, either coming out the other side or still fighting to stay alive. 

I noticed how when someone has a physical illness such as cancer, and they come out the other side or even remission, they are able to celebrate surviving. I think all of the survivors of being suicidal should too.

i love when reporters interview Aussie guys about them being heroes like if they save someone or swim out to help someone to safety cause they’re always just like “so what does it feel like to be a hero?” and the guys are like “yeah nah well yeah the water was a bit chilly but apart from that yeah nah just had to be done hey and got to work on time which was good, didn’t have time to shower so was a bit wet at work but all good no dramas”
