A hand gripped my upper right arm, painfully. I hesitantly lifted my head and saw Wyatt's father, the former Alpha King, looking ready to kill someone; his eyes glowing red and a growl escaped his mouth.

I gulped. Shit.

"How dare you disrespect your king! I suggest you explain why you spilt wine all over my suit then left without a word or I will not hesitate to kill you, brat" He snarled, tightening his grip on my arm. I winced, tears forming in my eyes.

When I didn't answer, his hand went straight to my neck immediately, cutting off my oxygen.

I was praying for someone to help me, but no one did. I couldn't do anything, I just let him strangle me to death. I closed my eyes waiting for my end.

Then his hand released me, my breath hitched.

This is it, I'm dead.

A warm hand went to my waist "Carina" the familiar deep voice said "Open your eyes" and I did. The first thing I saw is the most beautiful shimmering golden eyes I've ever seen. Holy shit.
