a popular theory is that he’s a mimic. remember, the first six riders had the six strongest powers that pushed the venin back into the barrens we know three of them were lightning, shadow and syphoning.

im thinking precog might be another one since no one has heard of a precog ever and so a mimic might be another. im also thinking distance wielder as well, seeing that they keeping saying there hasn’t been one for a thousand fucking years lol.

but now we also know imogen can do whatever tf she did to save dain and we dont know wtf that’s called so… we shall see 😭

i really hope that we get to see more of the first-years in book four — specifically Lynx. shadow-wielding makes sense for xaden given, you know, literally everything about him. but Lynx? what the hell is going on with him that he specifically starts wielding shadows besides magic giving up on Xaden??

He’s so determined to bond this time but also so so scared because what if he’s ignored again. unwanted. invaluable to any of the dragons who already aren’t bonding as many cadets as it is. and he’s just fighting his way through the throng of it, covered in blood and sweat, when he makes eye contact with this pair of huge golden eyes and just hears,

“Well, it’s about time. I’ve been waiting for you, Sawyer Henrick.”
