Such a sad day in history! SCOTUS overturns Roe vs Wade. It is no longer a woman's right to make choices for her own body. Certain religions belive they are the all powerful Know-all, Be-all, when in fact they are the END-ALL. END women's right to choose, force women to deliver babies that they may be unable to take care of, may put the mothers life at risk, or maybe just aren't ready to have. As far as I am concerned, there never should have been a Roe vs Wade, because the government never, NEVER should have been involved in a woman making her own choices. That being said, there was a precedent set. A precedent that has now been tossed aside and set not only women, but history, back 50 years or more. All the progress and advances in technology, education and "wokeness" turns out to send us right back to the dark ages, from telling us what kind of cars we should be driving, to watching our carbon footprint, to having babies we just aren't ready to have. Where the Bible thumping leaders shove their ideology down everyone's throat and pass laws accordingly. I think that you are entitled to make whatever decisions work best for you. Everyone deserves the right to live free and be happy. As long as you are not hurting someone else, I don't care what you believe. Go live your life. I also believe that I am entitled to do the same. This is also not just a one party design. I know plenty of people from both sides that agree and disagree with the SCOTUS decision. (Which just blows my mind.) Be warned, this is only the beginning. Women will be persecuted as in days of old because they won't conform or will be accused. Happy New Year my friends. Midnight was the perfect time to open your doors and let out the old and bring in the new. The wind was amazing and cleared the air for new adventures, new plans, new goals. 2021 taught us a lot; we loved a lot, we lost a lot, but we learned a lot. I did a little tarot pull this morning, but used a Lenormand deck. The Garden was the card I pulled. I find it very interesting that this was the card; as it can have several variations, the general meaning is social, groups, outdoors, put yourself put there, etc. During this past year, thanks to COVID-19, some of us lost our jobs, some of us got to work from home, some of us were essential and still had to go out and deal with the public at large, but we all had block ourselves off from gathering with friends and family. (How unfair was that?!...I could go off in a whole tangent, but...this isn't the post for that..) I did a little gardening when I got home today. The lavender trees were so root bound I had to tear some of them off before replanting them...poor things! The citrus tree and the lemon tree are both flowering...yay!! Who knew lemon trees had pink buds? The cactus is a prickly thing but the flowers in bloom are gorgeous. My living room at 4am ...idk why, but this morning it looked so pretty....I'm going to be over run with plants soon...now, if I just lived in a little cottage in the woods....☺☺☺💕. For dinner, we had a beautifully cooked steak with a salad with those little yellow flowers...calendula and blueberries with a cilantro (from my herb garden) lime dressing.
