FYI if you have a cervix and associated parts and the thought of pap smears terrifies you, you can now do a self-swab test for HPV! It's not a replacement for a pap smear per se, and if it comes back positive you'll likely need a full pap smear (according to my doctor) but it's a damn good alternative and has very high accuracy results. My doctors office offers the Evalyn kit (annoying that it's so lady-oriented in name and color scheme but whatever) and it was very simple to do.
