Naruto character-inspired littlespace snacks

Naruto: If you have a CG of course you can do cup ramen! I say with a cg only though, because it requires boiling water and that’s dangerous for little ones. A narutomaki is a fishcake, so if you can get fishcakes from a market, imitation crab meat, or even fishsticks, those are naruto snacks :) If you want something less Naruto themed and more naruto colored, there are always orange or clementine slices, or even mango or cantaloupe slices if you like those!

Sasuke: Is tomatoes too obvious? Cherry tomato skewers are easy to make, if you have mozzarella string cheese and can cut that into little bits you can poke them onto skewers (or toothpicks if you don’t have those) and eat them that way. Other than that,  rice cakes, pretzels, or apple sauce.

Sakura: strawberry milk! Berries, sugar cookies, pocky, pink sprinkle doughnuts, if you can get those glazed animal crackers then those too!

Sai: string cheese, mini oreos, animal crackers and fruit snacks!

Rock Lee: healthy snacks! Lee knows little ones need their nutrients. Any kind of vegetable cut into sticks with your favorite dip is good, and if you don’t cut veggies beforehand or have a CG to do it for you, veggie straws work too :) Drink mix-ins too, whether it be Mios, Kool-Aid or powder lemonade mix.

Tenten: fruit roll ups and any snacks that come packaged with their own dip!

Neji: boba tea, cheese and crackers, wafer cookies, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Shino: Ants on a log of course :> That’s celery sticks with peanut butter and raisins stuck in it. If you don’t like those ingredients, you can make it with pretzel sticks, Nutella and sprinkles or M&Ms or whatever you want! Any easy-to-eat fruits are good for him too, like peaches, nectarines or grapes :)

Kiba: Popcorn, cereal, pigs in a blanket (hot dogs wrapped in pastry or pretzel dough), and any cookie that can pass for a dog treat!

Hinata: Fancy ice creams, like lemon Italian ice or mochi ice cream! If you don’t have any of those, making a sundae with anything you can is good :3 Also yogurt, cottage cheese, and Skittles.

Itachi: sugary drinks like sodas, and any sweets like candy, cookies, or macarons if you can find em. Something easy and interactive is graham crackers with frosting spread on it :3

Kakashi: dog treat cookies for him too, let’s be honest :p also if you like to squirt whipped cream into your mouth Kakashi totally does that when he's alone.

Kisame: goldfish, dino nuggets, fish sticks and hot dog octopi >:3

Deidara: tangy/spicy chips and such, like Takis, Combos, Hot Cheetos and barbecue chips.

Sasori: spring rolls, gummy worms, those candies shaped like legos.

Itachi with a clingy little

This was a request from @smol-bunnys-tinyspace from many a month ago >A< I'm sorry I took so long to get back! I hope you see this and it makes you happy ;w;

-Itachi goes all out when he’s taking care of someone. At first he’d really wish they’d understand that he has ptsd is more wary than the average person and has a lot on his mind, but then he pushes it down because he’s a strong Uchiha after all, he can handle protecting a little one. At that point, where he can stop looking over his shoulder and trust his instincts, caretaking someone and especially an attention-demanding little can be therapeutic to him.

-Little activities with him include going outside, maybe gathering seed pods from whatever plants are dying and planting the seeds, reading books, or making sweets—if he’s in a place where he has access to an oven he will joyfully make a sheet cake with the help of his little, making colorful frosting and cutting berries for them to arrange into flowers :)

-Shinobi have to travel lightly, but I feel like Itachi is not above buying a coloring book or some blocks (insert something age appropriate to you here) and keeping it in the same scroll as the medical supplies or something, to bust out when you’re feeling little :3

-About the clingy part, Itachi is willing to devote himself fully to the task at hand—playing with little you, in this case—and won’t get tired of it easily.

-If it’s a bad health day he might have a hard time keeping up with a more energetic little, but he can think of stationary things to do, like making figures out of marshmallows and toothpicks, or things to keep his little wiggle worm occupied, like making (or drawing) a list of things to go find in the house/outside while he watches from a distance. Of course he will try to explain that sometimes his body hurts and there’s nothing he can do about it but he still loves you very much and wants to play with you!!

-When he is feeling well he’s also not opposed to tag or teaching throwing (rubber) shruriken or things like that! Hide and seek is off limits though, he doesn’t like not knowing where you are even if you’re at the age where you’re not all that good at hiding :p

-When it comes to nap time or bed time, he will read in the same room as little you until you go to sleep. He will definitely have a hard time going to sleep while he’s watching over you, and will sleep in the same room on the floor or on a chair when he doesn’t know if you’ll wake up little.

-He’ll rub your back and tuck you in, but you probably don’t want a lullaby, his singing voice is not pleasant.

-In conclusion, Itachi is a great match for a clingy little! He’s a little clingy himself :P

Sure thing! Sorry it took me so long.

These include mild spoilers! So if you don’t know Kakashi’s backstory, beware!

-He’s around ages 3-5 when in littlespace, but also experiences a middlespace of 10-11ish sometimes

-If Kakashi is anything, he is good at adjusting to new experiences: when he first became little, I assume shortly after Sakumo died, little him was a lot better at handling things than “big” him was: he cried, ate a banana, then went to sleep.

-Because of who Kakashi is, he has always been resistant to having someone take care of him. Minato and Kushina steadily made him comfortable enough to come over to their house to be taken care of, they treat him like their own little boy and play with him and eat dinner with him like a family :>

-It was a long time after they died that he finally let Gai take care of little him. And he is the only one—Kurenai has offered, Genma has offered, but he turned them down.

-Even little Kakashi likes eating healthy! He usually eats exactly the same as he does when he’s an adult, but when Gai’s taking care of him he’ll either cut his food up v small for him or cut it into shapes (which Kakashi appreciates.) He doesn’t drink out of bottles or sippies, but he does use two hands to drink from a cup, and he likes using segmented plates so much he uses them as an adult sometimes too.

-Little Kakashi activities include lots of art! Coloring books, drawing on blank paper, finger painting etc. Big him keeps these things in a folder deep in his closet. He also likes playing with baby ninja tools, like rubber kunai. When Gai takes care of him he tries to keep him away from doing this, because he doesn’t really want Kakashi to have to think about ninja things when he’s little.

-Oh the ninja dogs. If there’s nothing else that Kakashi can do he summons his doggies and pets them and brushes their fur!!! They take care of him, making sure he doesn’t hurt himself and has a good time while little. They are also great at playing pretend :)

-By the time he’s on team 7 he doesn’t go little as often as he used to, pretty much not at all really. He is sure to tell his kids about the phenomenon of littlespace after the land of waves arc (and they are already familiar with it, especially Naruto and Sasuke who have already been little at this point, but he did introduce the idea of having a caretaker to them.) He doesn’t want to be a caretaker to them at that point, but will loan them his dogs to hang out with.

-He’s not a caretaker to anyone actually, until Yamato reappears in his life and asks him to caretake for him. Him and on rare occasions Gai are the only people he’ll take care of personally, and he’s very mediocre at it. He doesn’t have a lot of energy or motivation or creativity :p Little Gai handles this very well, and Yamato, who has a large collection of children’s books and can make a book any time he wants with jutsu, will keep giving Kakashi books to read because that’s an activity he’s willing to do over and over again.

Hinata

-When she's young (original Naruto, not Shippuden) she has almost no control over when she regresses so she does it during school, during training, alone at night in her room etc. If her dad catches her doing it he'll shut down her chakra channels that are responsible for holding the transformation jutsu because "she needs to stop acting like a little kid" and sometimes she's still in the headspace she just isn't visibly little. It's a terrible experience.

-Her little age ranges from 1-4 (think, just starting to walk to starting to read kids books out loud.)

-When she regressed in class Iruka would send her to the nurse. Sometimes when he could get someone to watch the class for a few minutes he goes to visit her. He's deeply disturbed that she uncontrollably regresses because like, she has not seen combat yet. What's causing this? He is one of the only people to investigate the Hyuga clan before Neji's chunin exam speech. He immediately went to the Hokage and told him she needs to be on Kurenai's team, because she will be a good and stable parent figure which Hinata DESPERATELY NEEDS

-When she's placed on team 8 Keeb n Shino already know about her regressing based on the number of times she was excused from class. Unlike some of their other classmates tho, they do not make fun of her for it, Shino because there are members of his clan including himself who regress, and Kiba because when he asked his mom why Hinata kept turning into a preschooler she told him it was a trauma response and how he should treat her in that headspace: that is, like a little sister. He gives her a hug the first day of training (an awkward side hug, because he's still trying to be cool) but it comes with a murmur about how he's going to keep her safe.

-Thankfully, she doesn't regress during sparring ever. She seems a little bit in her element moving with and against her teammate's attacks, which Kurenai hopes will mean that she'll be fine in actual battle.

-Sometimes she'll regress shortly after sparring, esp if she was sparring with her dad recently because she's just Panicked. Kiba'll pick her up and coo to her, sometimes put her on his shoulders and run around or let her pet Akamaru (the last of which will instantly calm her down.)

-Shino will regress with her to be her playmate. He'll take her to a playground or a garden and point out interesting bugs. They do this mostly in their down time rather than during training or anything.

-If Hinata regresses toward the end of a training day Kurenai will take her to her house to hang out and destress before sending her back to the compound. Hinata loves it there! Kurenai is a good mom figure and she has activities for a little kid to do (early reader books, toys, even a wooden kitchen set and rocking horse—they were all in the attic because Kurenai's dad never got rid of anything and Kurenai inherited that trait)

Kiba

-Is a big more than he is a little. He would be a kickass older brother and I feel robbed that he interacts with kids so little in the show.

-He is a little bit rough sometimes, he will see three year old Hinata or Shino and be like 'y'all wanna wrestle in the mud??' just because that's how he spent a lot of his childhood

-HOWEVER he is still very ok with doing whatever the kid wants to do. Hinata wants to use the family sake set as a tea set? Shino wants to sit and watch ants carry food into their hill? Little Naruto wants to go paint Hokage Rock? He's there.

-He and Kurenai bond over being bigs. Both of them feel immensely protective over the little members of their group.

-As he gets older he experiments with actually regressing himself, but for the most part he has other ways to let off steam (like training or running with Akamaru.) He has achieved littlespace once or twice while Shino has been around to be his Big. He likes feeling like a kid, without the responsibilities his adult self has, but at the end of the day he feels better caregiving.

Shino

-When he's young he goes little fairly often. It's simultaneously how he deals with being so different from his classmates and makes him more different, in that he's one of the only regressors and he is even more quiet and more covered in bugs than he usually is (his littler body forces more bugs out of himself and onto his skin and clothes than usual.) It's not as uncontrollable for him as it is for Hinata, like he'll be able to wait until after school to go little.

-In his clan this is treated as ok, more acceptable than in the Hyuga clan at least, but they try to ease the teenagers out of it as they get older by teaching them different coping mechanisms. They're like metamorphosing backwards is unnatural and a little concerning but if that's what you gotta do to be a functioning member of our hive clan you do you babe!

-His favorite activities are hanging out with people (his family or anyone who will spend time with him, cue Iruka again) and/or bug related activities. He will go to the river and count how many dragonflies vs damselflies he sees. He will bring crackers and leaves to anthills to crumble up and offer to the ants. He will find chrysalises and put his kikaichu there to protect them until the butterfly/moth inside emerges. Through all this wandering, he's really difficult to keep track of if you let him out of your sight for one moment because he is fast and completely silent.

Kurenai

-Like 99% big 1% little

-She loves taking care of any and all littles, including the ones in her team, the ones from other teams, the ppl from her generation, the list goes on. More than once Kakashi has come to her little just to vibe with her.

-Already mentioned it but her shelves are stocked with little kid stuff. People a little more ignorant of the little phenomenon just think she babysits a lot (which, in between missions, she will do)

-She had only regressed once before she n Asuma got together, and that was a couple of days after her dad died in the nine tails attack. Tsume found her and took her to her house to help take care of Kiba for the day, which helped her feel better.

-After she n Asuma started dating, he talked her into the idea of trying to regress. He poured some juice into one of the sippie cups she kept around for Hinata and got her a soft blanket, they cuddled up on the couch and he read her some kids books. it was relaxing but she wasn't sure she actually slipped into littlespace. When she asked why he wanted to do it he said he wanted to know what abt caring for people appealed to her.

Akatsuki little gear/little activities headcanons

(expansion of the universe from this post. long story short they regress physically as well as mentally)

Nagato: blankie. ideally would have a paci but doesn’t so they suck their thumb/hand a lot. they spend most of their regression time being cradled by whichever pein body is closest and letting his mind go blank, but if konan finds him she’ll read him baby books and spoon feed him whatever’s close and easy.

Konan: kids books. coloring books. dot dots. paper to make simple origami. general craft supplies. she drinks out of big girl cups. if she’s feeling particularly in need of attention she’ll grab someone to come hang out for awhile. 

Itachi: little girl-looking dresses, books, plastic cutlery and segmented plates, crow and weasel stuffies. wears reading glasses when little and when little only bc kisame doesn’t want her using her sharingan and hurting her head more than they are. cuddles w/ her cgs, reads books, eats, plays with toys and dress up.

Kisame: onesies, diapers, a rattle and a teether with really thick plastic (still covered in teeny teeth marks tho.) spends his little time being cuddled by cgs and crawling around, sometimes to places where he should not be. Do not let him into sasori’s room.

Sasori: wears a onesie that’s one size too small bc he can’t feel it unless it’s putting pressure on him. he has a paci, and of all things, he spends a lot of his little time coloring. it doesn’t look good but it’s all tucked into a scroll somewhere because he can’t just get rid of it, that’d make him too much like deidara.

Kakuzu: surprisingly, a bow and arrow. for some reason little kakuzu loves going out and shooting things. unrelated to that but weighted blanket!! hidan got it from somewhere and they keep it in a scroll but other than his briefcase it’s his like, favorite item of all time. he’ll walk around and eat with it over his shoulders.

K13 and the weirdest thing they put in their sippies

Naruto: ramen broth (with or without ramen noodles)

Sasuke: tomato juice 

Sakura: Monster energy

Sai: Arizona Iced Tea

Ino: very specifically made latte

Shikamaru: anything from the fridge+a few ice cubes so it’ll melt during the day and he’ll go longer without having to refill it.

Choji: honestly just like. orange juice. sometimes a soda, a peppermint hot cocoa when it’s cold. nothing scandalous

Kiba: beef stew

Shino: sugar water (for the bugs)

Hinata: non caffeinated soda, like Sprite or root beer. also sometimes energy drink

Lee: electrolyte enhanced water babey no excess sugar or caffeine for this youthful boi

Tenten: black coffee (tho she’s particular abt the kind of roast, she doesn’t like the burned taste of darker beans)

Akatsuki Littlespace Headcanons

I could and probably will write more, but I don’t feel like it right now, so here’s this.

Disclaimer 1: Littlespace, in the AU and in real life, is a coping mechanism for everything from everyday stressors to psychological disorders like PTSD. If you sexualize littlespace do not interact with this AU or me, I will block you.

Disclaimer 2: Littlespace in this post is slightly different from in real life, magic-ed up in a similar way to how ninjas are magic-ed up in the Naruto universe. Chakra-using littles actually revert to the size they were when they were their little ages, although they retain any bodily changes since then (little Kakuzu still has stitches, little Deidara would have hand mouths.) The exception of course is Sasori, whose body is manmade and doesn’t change. People also do not necessarily remember their big lives when they slip into littlespace, sometimes becoming confused about where they are and who they’re with. They will sometimes be confused about what time period they’re in as well, believing things to have happened that hadn’t happened yet in their little age but were far in the past in their adult age.

This isn’t how I’m going to treat littlespace w/ Naruto characters all the time on this account btw, it’s just an idea I’ve been playing around with, like the psychological defense of reverting to a childlike state inadvertently triggers a transformation jutsu to match.

Nagato:

Little age pre Yahiko’s death was 6-7, post is 2-4

Started regressing shortly after the formation of the original Akatsuki. She and Yahiko had to do research to figure out why their teenage friend had suddenly turned into a child, but after they learned they took care of him: treated him like a child, bought him kids books from the local thrift shop, tucked him into bed. He called them uncle and auntie.

He would stay in littlespace for a surprisingly long amount of time, for 4-6 hours on days between missions.

After Yahiko’s death he spent many days in a row regressed to age two. Konan scrambled to take care of him and handle her own grieving. After that was over he promised her she wouldn’t have to take care of him again.

Nowadays of course she still takes care of him when he regresses, but he tries to force himself out of it if he begins to.

He still has board books and stuffies, so if he does fully regress he’ll have one of his pein bodies bring them to him.

Being ~3 he doesn’t have the mental capacity to control all the Peins, so they just kind of idle for awhile.

Konan:

Little age is 3-5

Pre modern Akatsuki she didn’t like regressing at all and only did it involuntarily. She would handle it by either walking it off or reading Nagato’s board books by herself.

This continued pretty much until she started becoming friends with Kakuzu, who openly admitted he was a little (he thought she should know, in case it ended up delaying his missions--it was mostly so she would stick up for him to Pein. No, he wasn’t hunting bounties, there’s a perfectly logical explanation--)

So she had a bad day while she and Kakuzu were at the same base and went ‘can you please deal with me for a couple of minutes’ and he was like ‘ofc’ so she sat down in front of him and shrank down to a little girl and started crying. He picked her up and bounced her on his knee until she calmed down. She ended up staying little for a couple of hours because Kakuzu took her out of the office and telling her stories about his childhood while they prepared dinner.

Kisame becomes her caretaker too when the three of them start dating.

Sometimes she starts crying inconsolably about something she won’t talk about other than someone leaving her and something being unfair. Pein showed up during this one time and said he knew what she was talking about and it was none of her cgs’ concern which ofc made them concerned but they haven’t gotten the chance to talk to her about it.

Itachi:

Little age is 2-4 but since her chakra is often very low so she doesn’t always physically become that tiny.

She didn’t regress until after she joined the Akatsuki, but when she did Kisame wasn’t surprised. He reintroduced himself as her babysitter, slipped her a lollipop and took her to a library to pick out some kids books.

Loves to be pampered. Oh god it’s the only time she can relax at all

Wears reading glasses because they can’t get her in to an eye doctor appointment

She’s trans in this au because I say so

Likes playing with weasel and crow toys, esp when her caretaker (usually Kisame, Konan and Kakuzu as well when they’re around) plays the weasel and she’s the crow. She’ll tell stories where they go out to the woods to train or just hang out.

She loves to sit in laps <3

She eats a lot more in littlespace than out so whoever’s feeding her makes lots of food. For her to grow big and strong u know

Kisame:

Little age 0. He is just baby

Being reminded of the bloody mist triggers his littlespace, though he has to be in a bad headspace in the first place. It really does not happen often.

Post Akatsuki the first time he slipped was after he, Kakuzu and Konan started dating. Kakuzu woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of crying and woke Konan up immediately afterwards because holy sh*t there’s a baby in our bed!!

It was Kisame. Kakuzu picked him up and rocked him back to sleep. Konan asked how he was so good with kids and he was like ‘oh I had a baby once.’ She does not ask him to elaborate. Kisame wakes up as an adult the next morning.

They keep a container of powder formula for him if he regresses but won’t get him a pacifier because they’re afraid he’d bite off and choke on the teat. They have bottles but Kakuzu makes the nipples for them out of one of his threads on the spot bc he’d bite through literally everything else with his tiny demon teeth.

Sasori:

Little age is unclear (unlike some of the others, he’s never said it.)

Signs he’s in littlespace: stops talking, stops walking if he can afford it, walks unsteadily and a little bowlegged if he can’t. Stops using ninjutsu and if he’s near a kitchen he might try to eat despite not having a digestive system anymore. Has been known to ask where Granny Chiyo is. The answer is ‘back home.’

Deidara got him a pacifier and a coloring book. He does use them but not when anyone else is watching, not even Deidara.

He is a bit upset when he’s reminded that his body is wooden. He would like to feel things please. But he learns to just enjoy the sensation of squishing a stuffie and his jaw chewing on a paci.

Deidara:

Not actually a little. He just hasn’t gone through sh*t like the rest of the Akatsuki have, and has coping mechanisms for when he is having a bad time.

He caretakes for Konan when her boys aren’t around and for Sasori if he’ll let him.

Hidan told him about littles after Kakuzu regressed in front of him and thought Deidara might need to know because of how much baggage Sasori has (he doesn’t know what it is but he can smell drama)

So he looked out for Sasori becoming a kid and learned instead to look for him not acting like an adult. He walked out of Hiruko and tried to eat in front of him and Deidara had to tell him he couldn’t have a strawberry because it was bad for his health and not because it would probably make his insides mold. It’s weird but Deidara is also weird and he makes it work.

Kakuzu:

Little age is 9-10

Post Akatsuki the first time he regressed was in front of Hidan in the middle of the woods. He didn’t recognize him and immediately tried to run and then beat him up when he chased him. Hidan had to think fast and tell him he was his new neighbor and pretend to be taking him home. The next time he was babysitting.

Sometimes asks where his husband is. The first time Hidan heard this his response was ‘what the f*ck’ and Kakuzu told him that was a bad word.

Enjoyed activities include reading, sparring, and to the surprise of some, hunting. He’s not bad w/ a bow and arrow.

The best way to keep him in/make him feel comfy in littlespace is to make him a meal. U can let him help to the extent that he sets the table or pours the drinks or smth (because he will ask) but take care of the food for him, because he hasn’t had someone else handle that for him in a long time.

Regressing isn’t necessarily a common thing for him to do but he’s one of the only ones whose regression can be triggered by physical pain as well as emotional. He can usually harden his skin to block attacks but if he doesn’t in time he may turn into a ten year old. It actually can surprise an opponent enough for Hidan to be able to take them out.

Hidan:

Not a little either.

Knew about littles bc there was an old man in his village who had ptsd from some long forgotten war and sometimes turned into a six year old.

Caretakes for Kakuzu pretty exclusively, unless Kakuzu is big and taking care of someone else, in which case he’ll help out if he’s feeling nice at the time. Itachi is actually his favorite to take care of because Itachi is a very manageable child.

Obito:

Little age varies wildly from about 1-11. He blocks his physical regression because he regresses Often and doesn’t want to blow his Madara cover.

He has been regressing since p much immediately after he got crushed. Madara was really having none of it and went from patiently waiting for him to become ‘big’ again to pretending it wasn’t happening, forcing Obito back into a uh. ‘’Normal’’’’ headspace

The Tobi act is actually covering his littlespace though when he’s an adult he has no idea how to realistically act like a kid so when he’s actually a kid it’s kind of jarring for all involved

When he’s a baby he just screams. Not really crying in distress but screaming because he can

He’s so eager for attention. Please talk to him! Play toys with him!!! Read a book, eat dango, run around outside, catch bugs, train!!!

Never mentions Kakashi or Rin but sometimes will mention his grandma or Lord Fourth as if he is the current Hokage
