Last year I had the honor and misfortune to play and stream my first playthrough of Sonic The Hedgehog on Xbox 360, also known as Sonic '06. It's a terribly unfinished game with huge potential. I played through Sonic's and Silver's episodes. I promised we'd return to play Shadow's episode when we reach 555 followers on Twitch. Now that we're there, I'm gonna start streaming it right now as of this upload! 2022 was the 20th anniversary for the Shantae series. I streamed my first playthrough of all games minus the latest one (Seven Sirens). Needless to say, I grew fond of the series for its colorful world, enjoyable characters, catchy music and fun gameplay. Feels like a Zelda + Metroid mashup.

After playing the games, I knew I wanted to make some kind of video to express my love for it. I first thought of making a retrospective or review but there are already a lot of those out there. So I decided to make a music tribute, and the song Dance Through The Danger instantly hooked me when I heard it.

It gave me the opportunity to try out a new tool, namely an AI Software that can remove or isolate certain aspects of a song. In this case, I removed the original vocals as there is no official instrumental version of this song that I can find. Then I did some trickery to remove the original guitar solo. The result is not perfect but it sounds pretty convincing, doesn't it?

Speaking of the guitar solo, that was the main idea at first; just do a cover of the solo and that's it. But as usual, that wasn't enough, I then decided to add another solo section where I could write my own piece and put my spin on it. You can hear my cover of the original solo in the very beginning. Then I went even further and made a full vocal cover of the entire song. It was really fun and challenging, easily the hardest vocal cover I've done. However, I realized that most sections of the song, specifically 2:44, had too high notes for me to hit properly. It ended up sounding pretty forced. I don't mind it too much, it's not supposed to be a perfect vocal cover, that was just for fun. The real thing I'm proud of is the guitar playing!

I felt it would make for a pretty boring video if it's just a picture and the music. So I tried my best making an animated music video with some fancy effects and transitions. It serves as a look through the generations of Shantae and my experience with them. All footage was recorded and edited by me.

The Complete Timeline of Splatoon

Five years have passed since the release of Splatoon 2 for the Nintendo Switch. At long last, the third game is right around the corner. In this video, I want to give you a comprehensive overview of the series so that you’re more than ready for the big splash when Splatoon 3 releases on September 9th.

This project started out as a simple Splatfest overview where I share my pick for each one. But as per usual, I couldn't stop my self from making the video more elaborate. I ended up making an entire timeline, lore and games overview video.

You may notice that much of the script is copied from the Splatoon Wiki. This was to save time so I have enough to make the Splatfest picks videos before Splatoon 3 comes out. Huge thanks to the Splatoon Wiki for the information! Links can be found further down.

Greetings everybody! My name is Crimz and today is July 1st. I have now been streaming and making content full-time for half a year. This is a massive milestone for me and I wish to thank all of you for the support, whether it's on Twitch, YouTube or somewhere else.

Long story short: I've been creating videos since 2006 across too many channels. I started recording commentary in 2009 and live-streaming in 2011. It has truly been fun and I've learned a lot. But I was never really consistent with my content in terms of what I did or how often. It has always been a hobby I did whenever I felt like it. It created a problem where I would often find myself indecisive if I should play a game on my own or record/stream it. It resulted in a huge backlog of games I never got around to play.

Fast forward to december of 2021, I lost my job as a recreational leader and decided to finally try out streaming full-time while I search for my next job or education.

In short, these 6 months have been absolutely amazing! I've had a blast actually playing games consistently and digging through my backlog. Not to mention all of the incredible support I've gotten from all of you! I quickly decided that I want to keep on doing this for a long time. 

But I'm not big enough to support myself yet  and having a full-time job would take too much energy from me to continue streaming. So the perfect middle ground would be to find a part time job and stream full-time. This is now my life's goal and I hope you'll join me on this adventure as we experience a wide variety of worlds together!

Finally, today also marks the 3 year anniversary of my music album Dead Wings of Grace. If you haven't heard it yet, please check it out!

OMORI ~ När Hon Var Bredvid Mig ~ Swedish Cover of 'When She Loved Me'

Today, OMORI launched on consoles. Everything was okay. I wish to congratulate @OMOCAT for creating the masterpiece that is OMORI and releasing it on consoles along with physical copies; I know I can't wait for mine! 

I also wish to pay tribute by sharing my rearranged Swedish vocal cover of 'When She Loved Me' from 'Toy Story 2'. I tried my best to make the lyrics fit into the lore of OMORI, specifically the bad ending. 

I want the lyrics to be open for interpretation but here's mine: Sunny's soul is singing from the afterlife after having taken his own life by jumping off a hospital roof. This is implied by the lines "falling towards the ground, the light begins to approach." and "I carry in my soul.". As to why he took his own life, you'll have to play the game yourself. 

This project was personal for me because I'm a very nostalgic person. Toy Story is part of my childhood and I remember this song tearing at my heartstrings, even back then. Combing this with OMORI which I absolutely fell in love with, a game that deals with loss and nostalgia, among other things. I don't consider myself a good singer but I've always love challenging myself and push my limits. I've made several vocal performances but never in Swedish, so I thought it would be fun to try it here. It ties in well with how I remember the original song back when I watched the movies in Swedish. 

I tried finding an official instrumental version of the song but to no avail. So I made one myself by extracting the 5.1 surround audio from a Blu-ray and isolating the backing track. It took some work to get it right but I think the end result speaks for itself. If you're interested in the backing track; let me know!
