since I'm scrolling down the blog now, I've come across the toon link carving! whatever became of it?
He's sitting pretty in my display cupboard! Years ago I was debating whether I wanted to ink/paint him in colours or even throw some shellac on him but I decided that the bare wood felt right.

You are so sweet, thank you. It's no worries though, the library has my back if anything happens. Besides, it just needs an ink cartridge refill, for some reason running low on ink impedes its ability to scan which is.. a suspicious programming choice.
