Panahon

Tag-ulan na naman pala. Payong at kapote na naman ang aking kasangga. Mag babaha na naman sa ibat ibang daan at kalye, malamang magsusupende na naman ng klase. Ang bilis magbago ng panahon. Tilay parang tag init palang kahapon. Ng biglang pumatak ang ambon, Naisip kong hindi parin pala ako nakakaahon sa kahapon.

Bakit kasi nasanay ako sa init na binibigay mo. Kasalanan ko ba ito? O dapat bang ikaw ang sisihin ko? Sana hindi ka na lang dumating sa buhay ko. Oo nga’t ikaw ang dahilan kung bakit, Kung bakit ang dating pusong tumigas na sa lamig ay milagrong muli’y nakaramdam ng init. Marahil dahil nasanay ako sa yakap mong mahigpit.

Hindi ko inaasahan ang bigla mong paglamig. Parang pagpalit ng panahon. Ang nooy nakasanayang init, Unti unti ng pinalalamig ng ulan at hangin. Ngayon ang tanging hiling ko lamang, kayanin sana ng suot kong sapatos ang bawat pagpatak ng ulan. Gaya ng pagpili ko sayo noon. Ang tanging “kaya ko pa” sa mundong “ayaw ko na”.

Do I look like a robot? A machine without feelings. Doesn’t have the right to tell what I want, only follows what you command. Or maybe a dog that has its own chain on its neck. Not free to go, to feel life as it is. These might be the reasons why even though we’re living on the same roof, you are not close to me and so am I to you. I lived in fear instead of love. 

Maybe because I disappointed you so many times. Not hitting your expectations . Maybe it’s my fault anyway. That’s why I lived in fear.

I really hate the feeling of jealousy. 

It sucks,

I’m not difficult to replace

It’s Monday,

and your hair is messy. You haphazardly put on your jeans and shirt as you moan about the day of the week -

and I love you.

It’s Tuesday, and you’re stumbling your way around the room, trying to sort out the things you have to do. You stop to briefly kiss the freckles on my nose, asking me about my day -

and I love you.

It’s Wednesday, and you’re quietly sprawled on the couch. You pat the spot next to you and pepper kisses on my hair because it’s my least favorite day of the week (and you know it) -

and I love you.

It’s Thursday, and you’re wondering what the weekend will bring, but you’re still moaning about how the week is going by too slow for your tastes -

and I love you.

It’s Friday, and I’m surrounded by DVDs and snacks you’ve prepared when I was gone. You welcome me with blankets and warmth from your arms -

and I love you.

It’s Saturday, and you’re feeling lazy. You won’t let me leave your arms (or is it the other way around?) So you tuck me under your chin as we both wonder how much time we have left before sleep makes us miss each other’s faces -

and I love you.

It’s Sunday, and there’s nothing much to say but

I love you.

I’m not the kind of guy who is sweet, romantic and somehow “galante”. I’m the type of guy na aasarin ka, medyo immature, magulo minsan, ginagawang biro ang mga bagay bagay. Compared to the other guys? aminado naman akong malayo agwat nila sakin. I’m not the kind of prince you wanted to be with. But one thing na positive about me ? Pag sinabi at pinaramdam ko sayo na mahal kita. Mahal talaga kita.
