i know we love the finalists thangyu au, but imagine the one where they both live? it all stays the same, the lunchbox plan, etc, but in the end it’s them, gi-hun and the baby. each get about 11.5 billion won (baby is still a player!!)

i can see them being dropped off somewhere in hongdae, with cards in their mouths, all the usual stuff. i don’t know why, but i can see how nam-gyu would feel bad both morally and physically, somewhere on the verge of being even depressed, and su-bong is actually okay, he’s just happy to be somewhere outside with his limited edition sneakers lol

nam-gyu would invite su-bong to his place. he just knows he needs someone by his side so he won’t be alone and won’t have a breakdown. he won’t feel any remorse for killing se-mi or others, it’s just the thought of how he was capable to kill people that scared him.

when they come to nam-gyu’s apartment, they both realize how they’ve been only gone for 6 days, no more and no less. everything is the same. nothing is dusty, even plants are still alive in some capacity, and now both of them feel uneasy. especially su-bong, who, even under the influence of the pills, understands that it all happened. in this au, i think, su-bong is the one, who killed MG, not the other way around, but counts it as self-defense. not a voluntary killing.

they don’t talk about the whole experience much.

at some point, su-bong would mention how he loved their little “team thanos” and is about to say how he would love to gather together again… but then he stops mid-phrase. they won’t. they will never gather together.

nam-gyu is the same. he still hates se-mi and remembers what she said to him, he still hates min-su, because, as nam-gyu thought, su-bong gave him too much attention, he doesn’t care about gyeong-su, but still… it hurts. for some reason, it hurts.

they are now the closest people for each other because they have no one left for them and they are actually fine with that. but still, they would never mention the game again. never mention team thanos, even if it’s something like “hey, remember when gyeong-su joked about that thing?”

one treats another as a prized possession, which is way above the money they got.

umm actually the games were just a product of thanos’ dreams and active imagination and no one died, but he hates how his dream made MG kill him and WILL complain about it to nam-gyu in the morning🙄🙄

remember how when thanos (and nam-gyu, ofc) approached MG and told him about how he and nam-gyu bonded because they both were scammed by MG?

well, that means that they at least exchanged a “hi” before the pink guards went in. i’m sure nam-gyu was the one who initiated the conversation, because of course he recognized thanos and saw this as a chance to become friends?

and also the way thanos worded this. by his words, he and nam-gyu clicked because they were here for the same reason. so, it was MORE than just “hi”. if only they had a chance to have a good talk at the club, rather than nam-gyu just bringing him drinks and drugs (…and probably serving ahem something else ahem), they would’ve already been friends.

i need au, where they don’t just know each other and had an affair, but they are FRIENDS (with benefits). 🥺🥺

i just need to know how nam-gyu would give thanos free drinks.

did he give it to him directly because apparently he has no job to do and was sitting with thanos in the bar section? did he send someone like a waiter to bring them and mention “i was told to say this is from nam-gyu” with thanos being like “who’s that”??? OR BOTH???? or another third option???

we need to revive nam-gyu and let him talk, he would unknowingly tell us SOOO much info <3

okay but imagine thangyu hanging out together, just two of them, after a game and before going to sleep? they talk a lot, laugh, and it helps them both to not feel like shit when the pills wear off.

nam-gyu misses this. he wants to talk to thanos again. he waits for him.
