Why might you catch your own Pokémon in the wild as opposed to going to the regional professor?
professor-given pokémon aren't easy to come by. it's usually either by lottery system or personal recommendation that a trainer can get a "Starter"-starter and you have to wait until you're literally 10-12 years old instead of starting early and catching the first wurmple you can find at age 5
#the ONLY reason i have my Samurott Danny is because my sister got a snivy a few years before I did in the lottery#so even though she's no longer a trainer she vouched for me#otherwise my starter probably would have been Magnus

Introducing... me!
Hellooooo! My name is Nae, I am 24, and I’m from South-East Unova! I attempted the gym challenge several years back now (must have been like...7 years?) but never managed to make it to the League, and now I’m mostly retired from battling and spend my days looking after my older sister and her Pokemon. My Pokemon are as followed: - Danny the Samurott - Shane the Gigalith - Magnus the Magnezone - Shimmer, the (Shiny) Female Unfezant. I will also mention my sister’s Stoutland, Lily, quite frequently as well. (OOC details below)
Greetings! I am hoping I did the read more correctly. My name is Artie, and I am the admin behind this blog. I am 19 years old, and compared to Nae’s she/her pronouns I use he/they. If you get them mixed up that’s quite alright - but an attempt is appreciated! I follow and like from the account ArtieKatt. Nae is based on my copy of Pokemon Black 2, that I completed all the way back in January 2016. I always imagined the character I created for that game - Nae - was the sister of the character from my Pokemon White copy. Whilst some details have been adjusted since so that she isn’t completely based off the protag, you might notice some details slip by - which I apologise for! More will be revealed via asks, posts, etc. I hope you enjoy!
