Remarkable setting of Hotel Sigiriya
When I looked up from the pool at Hotel Sigiriya, I thought I was dreaming.  The remarkable placing of the pool holds the famous rock fortress as a backdrop and adds colour and glamour to the entire surrounding. While nibbling snacks and sipping on wine, I knew I was in for a weekend of fun and happiness at the star class hotel with remarkable service.
The hotel offers cycling tours and hot air ballooning too which was a real treat during my weekend vacation in the month of November. So glad I put my schedule aside and ran off on this amazing adventure! It’s definitely a place I would escape to at any point in time.

Back to the Wallawwa.
Located 20 minutes away from the International Airport in Sri Lanka, this hotel was my first choice for the night after a long flight. Having been to this impeccably serene hotel before, the atmosphere felt like home; familiar, comfortable and peaceful. This time, I planned to stay the first two nights at Wallawwa and had enough time to take in the grandeur of this country house hotel. The Sri Lankan dishes were full of flavour and a super treat after the tiring journey. This is a perfect boutique hotel to recover and refresh at and prepare for an adventurous trip ahead. Wallawwa is undoubtedly a beautifully run hotel and offers a fantastic initial impression of Sri Lanka for those who make the first stop here.

A Home in the Hills of Sri Lanka.
Camellia Hills is a homely bungalow that offers stunning views of the mirror-still Castlereagh Reservoir and the pristine tea plantations right round, creating the perfect setting for a picturesque holiday in the hills. The specially curated dishes that we were served were bursting with flavour, had an exquisite aroma and lived up to all our expectations. The atmosphere was made even more comfortable with the crackling fireplace keeping us warm. The hotel offers a variety of experiences for those seeking an adventure packed vacation.

Wonderful Stay at The Wallawwa
Escaping the mad work schedules and the hustle of Colombo I stepped into a piece of luxury situated 15 minutes from Sri Lanka’s main international gateway the charming, The Wallawwa. Nestled in a lush, manicured garden this property is within proximity to the city that holds lots of fun and entertainment. Coming back to the country house hotel and taking a dip in the plunge pool in our suite was the best part of my stay.  The food is very flavoursome and is mostly prepared from the vegetables grown in the hotels extensive garden. This hotel is definitely a place I’d want to crash at when I visit Sri Lanka again.

Water Garden Sigiriya
The stunning landscapes of Water Garden Sigiriya caught me by surprise when I visited it last April. The path that connects the different parts of the hotel are serene and ideal for a walk with a special someone. The twin level bar serves some superb blends and has a picturesque view of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. This is a must try hotel for people who indulge themselves in luxury and comfort.

Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives is amazing!
Our family surf holiday at Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma, Maldives was full of fun and excitement. To be able to surf double head high waves all day and then paddle back to our Over Water Villa only five steps above the water was an amazing experience. As promised we witnessed dramatic views of the sun on the sunset cruise. The best part was that the staff at the hotel were just as excited as every surfer. They’d clap and wave and make it a very chilled and happy moment. The succulent food too was a highlight at the hotel.
