To the men who voted for Donald Trump today:
When your girlfriend gets pregnant, and youâre not ready to become a father, and youâre forced into a position that cripples you emotionally, financially and irreversibly, remember: you did this.
When your sisterâs pregnancy turns out to be ectopic, and she canât get the life-saving medical care she needs and dies a completely pointless, preventable death, remember: you did this.
When your 12-year-old daughter is raped by her soccer coach â after heâs legally allowed to strip off her pants and peep at her genitals, because the existence of trans kids terrifies you â and she steals your shotgun and kills herself in your garage, remember, first and foremost: you did this.
Hundreds of thousands of people are going to die because of the decision you made today.
You did that.

This may seem silly but this is what I needed to hear in 2016, so Iâm going to say it now. Itâs okay to feel hopeless or angry or scared or betrayed or even just mildly nauseous. However you feel is the right reaction for you. Youâre just not allowed to kill yourself. You are too good, too valuable, too important for this to be the thing that takes you. Yes the world is a mess, but taking one good person out of it isnât going to make it any better.
So take care of yourself. Wrap yourself in that blanket. Get that hug. Eat that mug cake. Find your life preserver whatever it may be and keep going. You are stronger than you realize.
Deciding to do something when youâre feeling defeated is hard. If all you can take care of is you today, focus on doing that. Tomorrow or a week from now you can look at what your community needs to do to weather the storm in the long term. Yes communities are hurting now, but having to grieve one more person isnât going to make anyoneâs life any better. Please keep going. Please donât let this election take you too.

Before January 2025:
If you are a USAmerican in a relationship that might be affected by legislation that dissolves same-sex marriages, who may no longer be recognized as next-of-kin, especially if you have children, get your rights in writing!
Your marriage certificate may not be enough to prove you have rights to make medical decisions for non-biological children or for a same-sex spouse or partner.
Go to a lawyer, get it spelled out as clearly as possible that you have a voice in emergency medical and legal situations.

Just to be clear, Kamala conceded with grace and dignity but it is still well within everyoneâs right to demand an investigation and even a recount with due cause despite a winner being declared. U.S.Americans have the right to demand free and fair elections (we donât have a right to, say, start an insurrection like certain people did after the 2020 election).
Many, including major swing states, (Nevada, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and more) have already admitted to data and ballots not being recognized or lost and are recounting or calling for a recount. It usually takes days to count and record votes, a day after a bunch of election tampering is not enough.
If you used a mail-in ballot and havenât yet, check if it was actually counted and ârecognized.â A lot of mail-in voters from swing states found out that their ballots were uncounted today.

If I have to see one more âwe survived him before we can do it againâ post Iâm going to scream.
So many people didnât. So many more people are going to die. Women are going to bleed out in parking lots because doctors are scared to give them the abortion they need. Migrates are going to die in detention centers. Kids are going to have their parents ripped away in mass deportations. Potentially millions of people are going to lose their healthcare.
Yes, we keep fighting, but donât say we survived before. A lot of people didnât.

If it makes any of you feel better, Donald Trump will have an uphill battle to change the constitution. He will need:
-2/3 of Senators (60)
-2/3 of the House of Representatives (290)
-3/4 of the states (38)
In 2026, 33 senate seats will be up for grabs, and weâll be able to vote for people who are against Trump and his ideals.
Breathe and remain hopeful because itâs not over. We can still fight and make Trumpâs last four years hell.

This is a reminder to:
Never mention a possible pregnancy/abortion to anyone, especially not through a social media app messaging service such as messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, Snapchat, etc.
Delete all period tracking apps and to start tracking using a planner or physical calendar
Book appointments for a form of birth control if possible, or to always carry condoms for yourself and other
Look into sterilization options if that is the route you want to go down (here is a list of 1000 doctors willing to sterilize you without a fight)
Protect your fellow person, protect the women in your life, the queer people, the disabled people, everyone will be affected by this
Form communities. Tell your people that you love them. Protect one another. Check in on one another. None of us are alone.
