damien rath, 29, owner of citta lounge & mma fighter

at the tender age of 2, damien lost his parents in a car accident. with no next of kin, he was put into the foster system.

most of his youth was a revolving door of bad homes and care centers. not to mention rejection.

damien was quiet and always slightly big for his age, it made some foster parents and potential adopters uncomfortable so he was pretty much always turned away or sent back.

he soon found his home and community on the streets. making a family of brothers with other boys in varying ages that also had nothing and no one else.

living on the streets with nothing was better than the system but it was a very hard way to grow up. the lessons sometimes were life and death.

they were recruited into gangs, mostly doing small time stuff, but damien being big and scrappy he was often the enforcer or the one that had to fight when it came to quarrels.

in his teens a local gym owner had a bit of mercy on him and helped him train, teaching him how to box and beyond. damien had always been naturally athletic and gifted, soon becoming a terrifying force on the underground mma circuit.

he fought like it was his last moment on earth. sometimes it felt like it. especially since it was his way to make some cash.

when he was 18 he came into the money his parents had left in a trust for him. apparently they were millionaires, and damien saw this as a chance to really make something of his life.

at first he traveled the world doing various things, living in the shock of suddenly having everything at his fingertips. he modeled, he dj’ed, he had a good time.

but in not wanting to go broke and ever be hungry again, he decided to do something with the money and opened up an ultra lounge... citta.

once the lounge was up and running, doing well, damien got back into his mma training and began fighting professionally.

nathan huntington, 33, homicide detective

absolutely only call him nate! tbh he’ll likely never give his full name.

born and raised somewhere in the south (i haven’t decided where yet!) into a picture perfect LARGE family. 

middle child of five.

his mother’s side of the family came from money. going back some 100 years they were big in the mill business but that slowly went downhill before he was born. they still had money just not like before. his parents didn’t need to work essentially but his father still did.

growing up he was a baseball superstar. colleges were looking at him early and trying to tempt him into graduating early or promise himself to them.

when he was 16/17 his family started to crumble. his parents began fighting, low key at first and then bigger and bigger. all while maintaining their perfect image to anyone that knew them. basically wanting to uphold an image. 

then Nate caught his dad in the middle of his affair and learned that his father had a whole separate life and family.

his parents began the divorce process and he being very angry and mixed up joined the marines rather than go off to university and play ball.

nate went on to become a scout sniper and came to the florida keys roughly 5 years ago following his discharge. 

he’s been working as cop/detective since and loves his job. 

just before his discharge from the corps he had a little daughter named danielle with a woman he had a short fling with. he had the mother and his child move in with him but in the last 5 years baby mama has run off with his daughter 3 times. the first 2 times he was able to find her and bring them back but this last time... well she’s been gone almost a year now. 

he hides his hurt and worry with his humor and things like that. 

and that’s nate in a nutshell!

evelyn rowe, 28, partner in a real estate development firm

her warning label should read: ruinous, immoral, and hedonistic.

born camille foust and up until she was 12 she had a happy life with an older sister named sophia. her father was a professor at the university and her mother was a hairdresser.

age 13 everything fell apart due to the shocking discovery of her father’s infidelity. she and her sister were moved out of the house with their mother to completely start over.

this is when the name change came about, going from camille to evelyn, to save some of the connection and embarrassment due to her father’s transgressions. he ended up remarrying to a rich woman after breaking up her marriage but evelyn wouldn’t exactly let him off the hook for ruining their lives...

attended university, haven’t decided where yet!

during college she found the woman that split up her family and began meddling into her life from a distance, very cleverly behind the scenes kind of stuff but small enough to go unnoticed.

she watched this woman’s marriage crumble with a smile on her face.

ended up engaged herself after a year of a successful relationship but… it was no coincidence that it was the ex husband of the woman who’d split up her family. eventually once the connection was realized by the woman (albeit after going a lil crazy)  evelyn walked away from it all, including her engagement, feeling satisfied with revenge.

in the midst of all that she worked in real estate development and got herself into a good firm.

oh, and also made sure her lying cheat of a father paid up to her mother and now lives in his former mansion.
