Babette headcanons.

It amuses her to play hide-and-seek with Lars Battle-born, and then use an invisibility potion she created to hide. Every time he loses, he has to give her his family’s wheat. They haven’t caught on.

She collects nightshade plants, not because they’re useful, but because she enjoys the queer scent and their gloomy beauty.

She used to have two orcish dead thralls as her servants, because like her, they were hideously ugly. However, she tested a frenzy poison on one of them, and it worked so well that after he killed his comrade, he killed himself, since he had nothing else to kill. This soon became her favourite way to dispatch of targets.

To test out a potion that regenerated health with alarming efficiency, she climbed to the top of high hrothgar and jumped down. Clearly, it worked.

She wears red clothing, not because it hides blood, but because it matches her eyes.

Her fangs are sharper than most vampires because she files them.

When she’s annoyed at Astrid, she poisons Arnbjorn’s stamina. Astrid’s beginning to think he has a problem. (He probably already did, the stupid sheep-dog)

She can beat Arnbjorn in an arm wrestle, despite having the strength of a ten year old girl, because Arnbjorn is incredibly weak. (Okay, maybe a fourteen year old because of the vampirism.)

She pranks Nazir in the new sanctuary by leaving a trail of sweetrolls that lead a watery-mouthed Cicero to him. She also lied and told Cicero that Nazir loves his singing, and that he should to it as often as possible. Cicero is thinking up a new song about Nazir with the title “Stros M’Kai’s Red Son.”

She used to be bros with Vicinte Valtiri. His death is the reason she lost faith in the night mother, and Astrid’s was what brought it back. (Fuck you, Astrid)

Before realising the clear advantage of blending in as a child, she wore a black cloak to conceal her appearance. She was inspired when she tried sneaking, her target discovered her, and said “Whoa, you scared me! Oh, you’re just a kid.”
