With how my life is going right now and the anxiety it’s causing me I think I need this.
thinking about medical play and being examined right now, hushed into submission because oh, of course this is for my health, and of course, doctor knows best.

Needed to see this, struggling a lot with depression and flashbacks related to some messed up stuff from my past as I’m trying to finish up school. This helps me.

I’ve thinking something along these lines for awhile, mostly with vampires. For years now I would think of different stories/scenarios of me or one of my characters being found by a vampire and he falls in love with the sound of her heart beating and he takes her somewhere where they can be together, there’s are many other variables and things. One of these I’ll write it when I’m not so busy.
This is something small I’ve wanted to discuss for a while now. There’s a lot of cardiophiles on here who write stories and stuff but I’ll say, there are a lot of fantasy elements that I think would work so well with cardiophilia.
Vampires are probably the first thing coming to mind. I don’t know a lot about vampires in popular media but I know with all the different adaptions people make for them, they’ve included a few details regarding hearts. Some note that vampires have no heartbeat since the body is dead, or they have a very faint/weak one. There’s a lot that can be done with that idea. Since vampires are popular in romance specifically, just imagine a relationship between a human and a vampire, but the person does not know their partner is a vampire until they put their head to their chest and hear nothing at all. Another popular detail people include for vampires is that they can detect heartbeats from long distances. That would make one hell of a chase scene.
Ghosts are something else that sounds appealing. Since they can phase through objects and people, they could slip their hand inside someone’s chest with ease, cradling someone’s heart in their hand. My favorite part of this would be how people claim they can detect a ghost’s presence by feeling an unusual change in temperature somewhere. Someone could feel a strange chill in their chest they can’t explain, oblivious to the apparition beside them.
But I have a personal favorite honestly: sea monsters, like a fish-human hybrid or something? I don’t know. In my imagination, this creature would have some features that a shark has. Sharks have sensory organs that can detect electrical impulses of other creatures from a distance. So, sharks can hear your heartbeat when you’re in the water. Terrifying. Like the idea with vampires, this would be something good for a chase scene.
I’ve just been thinking about this stuff for a while. With all the stories I see here, it’s mostly dark cardiophilia involving scientists, medical experiments, that sort of stuff. A lot of those seem fairly grounded in reality for the most part, but I wish there was more fantasy like this. I think these ideas are kind of under appreciated

I’m somewhere along this line, but mainly because I’m so busy with school right now. I know once things calm down I’ll be able to write a lot more easily but it still messes with my anxiety.
please please please please reblog if you’re a writer and have at some point felt like your writing is getting worse. I need to know if I’m the only one who’s struggling with these thoughts
