Ok so I’ve not posted in a minute but I had to ask this question,
What kind of meta is on play for Every You, Every Me?
Like we got snippets of them breaking character in the end of each story, well at least from story 2 and by the end of story 3, one of them Mick(?), break character and confessed and knowingly used the lines from story 2 but he’s referring to Top as Pon which is another character for this series?
Did I miss something?

how to get the "watch along" experience with any show — old or new (and avoid spoilers, too!)
step 1: look up the dates when each episode aired
step 2: go to the tumblr search bar
step 3: type the show's tag + advanced search operators "since:YYYY-MM-DD before:YYYY-MM-DD" to target the range of days after the episode you watched came out but before the next episode aired
step 4: enjoy posts, discussions, meta, gifsets, memes, etc. that are relevant to the specific episode you just watched — spoiler-free!
happy watching!
(note that because of some backend tumblr limitations, this only works for shows that aired in 2017 or later. sorry early 2010s shows 🥲)

Just had to reblog this after its somewhat confirmed that what we’ve been seeing for the past 5 episodes are all Great’s desire, not the reality 🥹
I know that everyone is like...focused on Great being a terrible person (and celebrating Tonkla for killing him lmao) but I think the original timeline just makes Great's story more tragic.
Since we essentially were in Great's head and he was trying to edit his own past, it revealed so much more about him in a way we would've never known with just the original timeline.
He wants his brother to care for him. He wants sweet, playful dates. He wants to see Thyme smile. He wants to innocently hold Thyme's hand and get his potential first kiss with him interrupted by Thyme's grandma. He wants their first time to be sweet and loving. Just for them. He wants Thyme to listen to him, understand him. He wants Thyme's eyes to soften.
Everybody has wondered why their scenes felt so disjointed but this explains it so much.
Great doesn't think, even in the depth of his subconscious, that his dad could change. Or his mom. Or even his brother. He doesn't crave for his family to be different. Or rather: He can't even possibly imagine that happening in any timeline. His circumstances stay the same.
Every bad decision Great makes, he still makes in his fanfic timeline. But he gets a chance to change it. He's forced to look at his own inactions and the consequences. He's not getting away with his passiveness anymore.
Great's achilles' heel is not that he gets off on hurting and using people. That's not who he is. He doesn't crave his father's approval (like Korn does), he doesn't want people to obey him and hurt them (like Title does) and he's not interested in portraying a certain image (compared to his parents).
Great revealed his deepest desires to Thyme in his wishful timeline: He's just lonely. He just wants to be loved. He wants someone to see him.
And yes, he's definitely spoiled and he's a coward. His achilles' heel is his own cowardice, his inability to decide something for himself, to be ACTIVE and not just passively react to things and let other people decide FOR him. He excuses his own actions with his passiveness because that's just the way he was taught. (Korn said it in the last episode: He will do the dirty work and Great can just blissfully live like everything's fine.) He's deeply anxious, reckless and almost numb to things around him before he meets Thyme in his original timeline.
He just accepts things for the way they are. And because he's surrounded by awful people, he became awful himself.
But original!Thyme miscalculated Great. Because Thyme himself is a morally grey person and hurts the people around him for his own gain (regardless of his motivations being right or wrong). He saw Great as a tool, as someone to use. He was too wrapped up in his own mission, his obsession with getting justice that he wasn't able to see Great for who he could potentially be: A person to love.
They could've been each other's salvation but instead become each other's tragedy.
Isn't that so sad? Thyme used Great and preyed on him. In the original timeline they maybe had like...what....one hour of genuine connection?
And yet – in his dying moment Great still wants Thyme. Still wants to be loved by him. Even in his dying moment Great wishes for them to be each other's haven.

I haven’t watched ep 5 but tbh with all that has happened, I think this is one of the theories that is right on the money.
Timelines, Jewelry, and Sex? Oh My!
Despite all efforts to keep myself from constantly overanalyzing love scenes on this site, here I am once again. And this time I've brought three (3) of them!
It was honestly inevitable because in a series like this where sex quite literally drives the plot, these scenes are necessary to understanding the story and characters, and in turn must be discussed. That said, walk with me lovelies. We have a lot to cover. Theories and takeaways are in green, and questions and discourse are welcome.
Great and Tyme's love scene was so beautiful and truly a joy to witness which is why it pains me to say that it was not real. At this point, we can all agree that there are multiple timelines in play. That's why I think their love scene and the moments that lead up to it were what Great wishes their relationship was like if he had made all the right choices and met Tyme under different circumstances.
I think their relationship started with a one-night stand possibly initiated by Tyme to get closer to Great and his family.
Now before I attempt to provide evidence to support my thesis, I need to point out one thing about the timelines—they are parallel. Great's first 4-minute out of body experience establishes that point.
Sure, going back in time allows him to make a different, often better choice, but the timeline in which he made his initial choice continues.
That is why we see him wake from the "nightmare" of seeing Manee lying dead on the ground after he hits her and drives off. That timeline is still in motion and part of him has experienced and is still experiencing it.
The notion of parallel timelines is further supported by the final scene in episode 4 where we see two timelines seemingly collide as Dome returns home in one and is dead in another.
I highly recommend reading this post by @becauseimanicequeen which has an extraordinary breakdown of possible timelines and the differences between them.
Taking what we've seen so far into account, my theory is that each 4-minute jump creates a new timeline or a new branch in an existing timeline that later merges back into it's parent timeline while all events and memories remain intact. Lukwa provides a bit of insight on this during her interview with Dr. Den:
What I plan to discuss in this post is based on the premise that there at least 4 timelines in play for Great-Tyme's part of the story:
Great hits Manee and drives off → has his first 4-minute jump (4MJ) → a new timeline is created; this one continues with memories intact → ?
Great hits Manee, stays, and calls for help → visits her at the hospital and delivers flowers to her room where they talk for a bit → bumps into Tyme and tries to leave, but ends up having a 4MJ → a new timeline is created; this one continues w/ memories intact → ?
Great leaves the flowers he brought for Manee at the nurse's station → first instance of seeing visions of he and Tyme having sex on 2 different occasions → bumps into Tyme, says sorry, and helps him pick up the papers → Title kills Dome and Great has a 4MJ → a new timeline is created; this one continues w/ memories intact → (this is where Tonkla and Win would come in, but they're not my focus atm) → ?
Great saves Dome and takes him to the hospital → Tyme sutures his wound; Great recalls visions of him riding Tyme → Tyme saves him from being choked out/killed by Title in the garage → Tyme brings Great his favorite iced tea and is rejected when he asks Great out → Great has a 4MJ, explains what's been going on to Tyme and asks him out → claw machine date at the mall and almost kiss in the car (interspersed with another round of visions of his other self and Tyme from T2 sleeping together; I'll explain later) → Tyme attacks Korn looking for answers about Nan's whereabouts → Great confronts Tyme at the hospital → has a second 4MJ and promises to help find Nan → Great finds Nan, but hesitates and fails to save her → has a third 4MJ, manages to save Nan, and escapes with Tyme's help → they quickly drop Nan off at the hospital and skip town → sleep together
Since Great has had three 4MJs in T4 (the current timeline), it is plausible that 3 additional timelines may have been created but I don't think that's the case because (1) four is a thematic number in the series and (2) the T4 is the timeline that offers the most continuity in sequence of events.
It's also interesting to note that Great's 4MJs have become more frequent and life-threatening which could mean that he's on the right track and/or nearing the end.
That aside, the timeline I want to focus on is T2, which is where I think one of their sexual encounters takes place. Let's take a look at the timeline as if Great's 4MJ does not occur:
Great hits Manee, stays with her, and calls for help
Great visits Manee at the hospital and delivers flowers to her room where they talk for a bit
Great, unnerved by his conversation with Manee, bumps into Tyme and leaves
Great meets Tyme at a bar and they end up having a one-night stand
This scene was the sole catalyst for this post because Great seems to be wearing the same outfit he had on when he visited Manee at the hospital—jewelry and all.
Our rich boy may like wearing black and white, but he is not one for repeating outfits.
While chatting at the bar, they're conversation indicates that they remember bumping into each other at the hospital. However, unlike in T3 and T4, they don't seem to know each other beyond that. It's possible that Tyme may have some info on Great because he is investigating his family, but they're essentially strangers both to us and each other. This Dr. Tyme (T2) is not the rizz-less one we know and love from T4 because he manages to charm his way into spending the night with Great (this is speculation; Great very well could have done the charming). How do we know this? Great's visions from the first time he bumped into Tyme at the hospital (T3) and the almost-kiss in the car (T4) show us what happens next.
Great-Tyme are seen holding hands as they enter Great's condo. I will admit that this is quite familiar behavior for people who've essentially just met, but holding hands with your one-night stand is not entirely impossible. That aside, if you look closely you'll notice that Tyme is wearing a silver paperclip bracelet and Great is wearing his favored watch.
These are the same pieces of jewelry that they're wearing when Tyme kisses Great's chest on the pool table ... which is insane choice of a flat surface to start a romp on when the bed is literally a few feet away, but I get it. Where else would one serve a full-course meal if not on a table?
Anyway~ Tyme is also wearing a necklace which will be of note in a sec, but what I find interesting is the stark difference in this Tyme's gaze and demeanor in comparison to the one in episode 4. He appears to be more confident and decisive.
A man on a mission and who knows exactly what he's doing. That said, if we ever get the entirety of this scene, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't kiss Great on the lips because there seems to be an emotional distance between them that is not present in the love scene in episode 4.
Now back to Tyme's necklace. He appears to be wearing it in another scene from the trailer where he's standing next to Great's window so it's safe to assume that it's the same day.
I can't decide whether his gaze is menacing or not, but he is holding a rag and something black and shiny that looks like a switchblade a phone so we'll just have to wait and see.
So far we've looked at 2 of the 3 Great-Tyme love scenes shown in the trailer. The third, which also takes place in Great's apartment, is one that also gives me pause because once again, Tyme's gaze is different.
Something about the way he looks at Great does not read as the Tyme we've been seeing over the past 4 episodes.
But what's most notable to me in this love scene is that neither of them is wearing any jewelry. Great doesn't wear jewelry at home, so not having any jewelry on in this scene isn't out of the ordinary. Tyme on the other hand, is NEVER without his smartwatch. And as I'm writing this, I've realized that we've never seen any indication of what time it is when Tyme is alone. The only instance we've seen a clock in direct relation to Tyme is when he exchanged numbers with Great at the skatepark.
So, is any of what we've seen so far real?
Yes and no. The only thing that has been real and consistent throughout Great-Tyme's storyline is the certainty of death; impending or otherwise. And because of that, neither Great's nor Tyme's perspectives are reliable.
Though it may feel like we are getting the full picture, there is always something missing in between.
If you've made it this far, thanks for reading. Now off to episode 5 to see how wrong I am XD

So ep 4 of 4 Minutes is making me lean towards the alternate timelines or parallel timelines.
Though it’s really a wonder how they’re going to converge the different timelines when there has been multiple points of divergence 🤔
And all within the next 4 episodes, man this show is compact. 😮💨
Who is included in this timeline who isn’t?
And I have a gut feeling that Lookwa (the patient who is experiencing the same thing with Great) has a deeper connection to this.
Ah, what a Great Tyme to be living in.
I can’t stop the puns 😅

Or another theory is that:
The one that died is Dome, and Tonkla is his big brother but we are seeing 2 different timeline back to back.
1. The real/alternate timeline is the one where Dome did die, Title was the one who bludgeoned him to death with Great as witness.
2. The current timeline where Great manages to go back in time/see 4 minutes in the future and managed to bring Dome to the hospital.
But notice how the “current” timeline is focusing mainly on Great & Tyme’s first official meeting.
So the “current” timeline imo is just what Great is regretting and “fixing” as he’s reflecting while in a coma/flatlining(?) so none of it will be reflected in the real timeline anyway.
smart people help me understand this
1) title said to great how could you betray me and how can you accuse when great said he thought title would kill dome
BUT
2) we see a dead body and tonkla crying
so my questions are
Did dome die - if not who is the brother
Did the brother/dome death occur in present or future

Ah, I love a Great character analysis.
Everyone who’s brought this up so far is fully correct: the characters in 4 Minutes are wholly unlikable. So far they just seem kind of neutral in an out-for-themselves kind of way and most of the harm that they produce is just incidental to the roles they occupy in the world rather than directly related to intentionally harmful action.
And i think one of the factors in that is social status.
My strongest initial impression of Great was “Boring rich kid.” He doesn’t have much personality, we haven’t seen much in the way of interests. He’s essentially just the spare son of a business mogul. He’s self involved and doesn’t really seem to give a shit about anything or anyone. And as many people have pointed out, extends no effort whatsoever to help anyone ever, probably because it’s literally just never occurred to him to do so. Based on his reaction to Title’s kidnapping and assault of his girlfriend, he seems vaguely aware of the fact that this behavior is not socially acceptable but his response is “Hide it better. You’re gonna get in trouble,” not concern for the victim or any particular issue with the action itself.
He’s a terrible person because that’s who he was raised and conditioned to be and it never occurred to him that wasn’t normal. He’s surrounded by similar people. It’s what’s expected and honestly, most young pampered men in his social class are like this. (I am loving the deliberate contradiction to the common narrative that handsome young rich guys are interesting because they’re rich or vice versa) Rich people mostly suck. They’re born and raised to be. One such sucky boring rich guy’s life is where our story begins. Now what?
Generally, your immediate thoughtless reaction to something is conditioning (think social protocol or trauma response instincts. Like answering a question with the programmed socially expected answer before you’ve even considered if it’s true). The second, once you actually think about it, reflects who you actually are.
Great’s reactions in the visions where he does nothing, or runs away, is who he’s been conditioned to be as a rich boy. “Not my problem”. He’s never in his life considered the well being of a victim or another person in general. He doubtless grew up watching his peers and mentors blithely ignoring the suffering around them on a daily basis without a shred of compassion or likely not even taking notice.
But once he’s jarred out of the vision by reality and is forced to confront it, his brain seems to come online and the second time, he chooses action, even just helping gather papers he scattered when he bumped into Tyme.
He’s new at this considering others thing, and fairly timid and hesitant about it But he visits the lady he hit and brings her flowers. He’s not sure why, but he cares what happened to her. And he seems oddly uncomfortable with her forgiveness and concern for his future. (which to be fair, might be in part the mental break he’s currently experiencing).
He also seems new to the concept that actions, or in some cases inaction, have consequences, even incidental ones. He’s never had occasion to think about his impact on the world or anyone else in it.
There are a lot of theories about this being a flashback of some kind. Or messages from his future - possibly dying- self. Maybe he’s trying to accelerate his own character arc and disrupt his current self involvement before it’s too late.
In any event, I love a good realization arc and this one is gonna be excellent. I can feel it.
Great is essentially a blank space; a generic product of his status and legacy but nothing more. Maybe we’ll get to watch him become someone specific, if not entirely likable or interesting.

I don’t know if anyone has posted this, but there was a live interview 2 weeks back where Bible & Jes was asked the question;
What have you learned about time from 4 Minutes?”
Jes said that his answer might be a spoiler but Tumblr theorist, please take this and tag me on what do you make of it coz I’m too dumb to make my own 😂
Also here’s Bible’s answer for extra vision 🤭

Me every time someone is pissed off at Korn being a sub to Fasai and “cheating” on Tonkla.
I’m sorry is it not clear that it’s a sugar daddy-baby situation?
Tonkla wants it to be more or balanced, hence the unprotected sex request and him still working even with Korn providing for his life.
But clearly Korn is not letting up with tearing a condom right to his face and leaving Tongkla cold with the “Fasai” excuse right when his dad call.
In what twisted world is this a normal relationship?
I'm in Pikachu face state because there are a lot of people using the boyfriend term with Korn and Tonkla and I'm already confused enough about the show. Because in no way did I get the feeling they were in an exclusive, monogamous bfxbf relationship.
I read people being upset because there is a 'cheating' plotline regarding those two in the series (either because of Win or Faisa) and tbh if anything Korn is 'cheating' with Tonkla.
Tonkla is emotionally more invested and most likely in love with Korn but I got the impression it's one-sided and I had the feeling he knows exactly were he stands with Korn and Korn doesn't strike me as the type to promise stuff he can't fulfil especially because he went the moment his father called and had no problems with it that Tonkla heard what was said.
If you think they are boyfriends you're more than welcome to comment etc this is in no way, shape or form a call-out thingie, I'm genuinely curious about how people see things differently.

I’m rooting for this theory 💯
I'm almost positive the aggressive sexual visions Great is having is because his future self, the one flatlining in the hospital, is trying to push him towards Tyme faster. Almost everything the visions have allowed Great to correct lead him to Tyme, save lives, and more importantly, establish to Tyme that he has a much better character than the one he saw in the first timeline.
Great helps pick up the papers instead of dashing off.
Great leaves the flowers to be delivered, instead of going in the room, pressuring the woman, and taking a photo.
Great saves Dome, which will have doubtlessly allowed Tyme to overhear that Great was intervening to save a life during his argument with Title, establishing that he isn't like him. It also allowed Tyme to gauge his personality much sooner, as when he gives him stitches, he gets to see a fairly shy and quiet character, and not a mafia don.
For a character that seems to have a bone to pick with Great's family, Great getting to go back and establish he's a good person that just got in over his head feels important. I think that's why episode 2 took care to establish Tyme could fight before showing him intervening to protect Great. I think him protecting Great was a distinct change in their previous timeline. I think future Great was counting on past Tyme to do this with the benefit of hindsight at his disposal.
I think future Great wants to correct the mistake of handling too much on his own, because it's quite clear this is a very isolated and internal character. A lot would have probably been different if he'd opened up to Tyme sooner and made better choices. Given Tyme is also suffering the consequences of the choices made, I really do think future Great is making himself miserably horny using the visions to push his past self into Tyme's path quicker. I think that's why in the clips of the NC scenes we see, particularly the one where Great is riding Tyme, we see his sex face during the exact moment Tyme finally gets it in. I think it's the visions telling him, "Look how great it'll be if you just give in." He's quite literally breaking himself down, which is dark and I love it.
It seems like future Great believes he can protect them both if he puts out sooner, is basically what I'm saying.
This is a truly blessed year for BL.

This is a perfect explanation on why Joe is “giving in” to Ming.
When he thought no one remembered him and his presence disappear, Ming was doing all the right things to keep it alive.
So long as we are being remembered, we remain alive.
— Carlos Ruiz Zafón
Navigating the Conflict in My Stand In: Surrender and Softening in Love
(Disclaimer: Ming/Joe is an incredibly toxic relationship; I fully realize and acknowledge that, but Poom makes a critical distinction in Joe's reasoning, and I think it's interesting to dissect. Also, this is fiction.)
It's been some time since I've written any meta, but I can't stop thinking about the video @poomphuripan shared of Poom making the distinction that Joe isn't giving in to Ming, but rather, his heart is melting for him.
It makes so much sense that Joe would melt at the littlest semblance of 'love.' He was so alone for so long. His parents have been dead for longer than he had them, he has no siblings, and his extended relatives don't care about him. I forget if it's mentioned in the show, but in the novel, Joe had a pretty big crush on Sol, and Sol rejected him quite brutally. Even without meaning to be, Joe is always alone at the end of the day.
Yes, Joe has friends, and yes, Joe made his own found family. But at the end of the day, Joe would return to an unlit, empty home. Everyone else would return to their wives or families, while Joe could only return to the pictures of his parents. Meanwhile, for all of Ming's bs and frightening behavior, he was the only one that made his dream come true.
For the first time, with Ming around, Joe would come home and be greeted by the warmth of another living, breathing person. Joe craved to have a human bond, and Ming was the one who was willing (albeit for his own interest) to give it to him. And he cooked for him. He took up space in his home! He remembered the very things Joe had told him he longed for. They had a lot of good times, a lot of good memories, and a pretty set routine that really integrated Ming into Joe's life. But then they fight, his blissful reality breaks, and Joe dies.
But Joe wakes up from what feels like a day's nap when, in actuality, two years have passed. And what does he find? Ming has cared for his apartment since his death and is unwilling to change anything just in case Joe returns. Ming continues to fulfill Joe's dream of returning to a warm home. So he turns on the lights, and he cooks the same dinner that they used to share for two years. And even in his rightful anger of wanting Ming to leave him alone, he's still seeing that. In the two years since his disappearance, someone still thought about him and hadn't fully grieved him. Ming's brother only confirms that.
Giving in would mean that Joe wanted to end the fight with Ming, when no feelings had changed. It'd be him emotionally surrendering himself, compromising his feelings of being just a double for Tong, and fully conceding himself when he still thought that Ming only saw him as a replacement. While Joe might have given Ming access to his body to pay his new mom's debts, he was still blocking Ming out as much as he could. But that's not why Joe forgives Ming; it's not for a superficial reason to stop the feud. There's a visible shift in how he perceives Ming, the guy who waited two years for him, who protected and filled his home with warmth, just in case he wasn't really gone. His motivation was rooted in the slivers of positive feelings he had for Ming, which allowed him to move past the anger that he held for him.
A quote that I've seen floating around the internet for years comes to mind. "And when nobody wakes you up in the morning and when nobody waits for you at night and when you do whatever you want. What do you call it? Freedom or loneliness?" Joe has had that freedom for the majority of his whole life. It's no longer freedom for him. But even his found family isn't fully aware of the loneliness that would wash over him when he would return to an empty home.
After all is said and done, he sees that only one person knows him intimately enough to understand and learn even the most mundane of his desires. Ming, even with all the toxic shit he has pulled, stood by his word of not letting Joe return to an empty home. For Joe, that was enough. It changes how he sees and understands Ming.
It's also why Sol and Joe would have never worked out.
As Poom said, ultimately, it's not that he gives in to Ming but rather he lets his heart melt when he sees exactly what Ming has done for him in his absence.
Even after everything, Joe still loves him.
