All these people saying it’s a woman’s choice to have an abortion, they won’t be able to stop the woman’s depression and self-hatred after she kills her own baby. They’re not the ones who have to deal with the abortion.
A woman has another choice if she is pregnant and doesn’t want the baby, she can have it and give it up for adoption, better than killing it off because it’s 9 months of inconvenience.

"We've all heard the argument that begins "You must not really care about saving lives .... You're just about controlling women's bodies!" And when we're feeling uncharitable, we can always throw it right back at them: they don't really care about bodily autonomy, because if they did, they'd promote legalizing raw milk, or allowing minors to get tattoos, or whatever.
"But I try to be charitable, so let's narrow the issues. "The debate about abortion is really a proxy battle in a war on women's right to control their bodies" is a testable hypothesis. ...
"[Imagine] a bill that would save babies' lives, at no cost to women's bodily autonomy. Where would pro-choice lobbyists and politicians stand on that?
"We don't have to imagine it. The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (H.R. 962) was introduced in the House of Representatives nearly six months ago. The legislation would require doctors to give infants who are born alive after abortion procedures—who are already outside of their mother's bodies—the same hospital care that their premature, wanted counterparts receive. It would not ban a single abortion.
"At the behest of pro-choice groups, House Democrats have blocked a vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Act eighty times. That is not a typo. Eighty times.
"It's not about bodily autonomy."

Interviewer: "How many babies did you deliver over your career?"
Midwife: "I really don't know how many I've delivered... What I do know is that I've done a total of between 50,000 to 60,000 sterilizations and abortions. I counted this out of guilt because I aborted and killed babies. My hands trembled doing it. But I had no choice; it was the government's policy. We didn't make decisions. We only executed orders. I want to atone for my sins - for all the abortions and killings I did."

We do need to have conversations about accessibility for video games, but those discussions should be about adjustable subtitles, adjustable color palettes and in-game noises, completely customizeable control mapping, adaptable controllers, and the ability to disable strobing lights. The solution isn’t “make Dark Souls easy”, it should be “make game settings and controls extensively customizeable so that everyone has the opportunity to git gud.”
Exactly.
Making dark souls easy won’t help someone who is red green color blind because they can’t see the damn colors. Making it easier won’t help someone who is deaf because they won’t be able to know what’s going on, etc. etc. making a game easier/lowering the skill cap does nothing to actually negate a disability.
But of course, they continue to hide behind “But disabled gamers!!” while doing nothing or even discussing anything that could potentially help disabled gamers. It’s because they want to feel good about themselves because they feel like it is a slight against them that they suck at Dark Souls or whatever other game it is.

We live in a world where it’s heinous to use the “R-word” but you can literally kill someone who MIGHT have it and people will defend it as their right until they’re blue in the face
#i honestly hate the word retarded#and i dont like to use it to describe people with intellectual disabilities because its no longer accurate#but for the sake of the post#i think this was fine#Stand up for intellectually disabled individuals#how dare you criticize the r-word#while simultaneously calling for their abortion to be legal#im in a mood#but probably wont be in the morning so if someone responds my b if you dont get a reply#anti-abortion#pro-life
