Fantastic Beasts. Property of Harry Potter.

Cute doodles by Ron!! Haha
Tumblr media
I wonder if Ron or Rupert Grint really had this kind of handwriting. Hmm. Anyway, I love their version of hangman! :)) Can you guess the word? :D
Tumblr media
More doodles by Ron Weasley! Haha Ron kept vandalizing Harry's book! :))
Tumblr media
These were only some of Ron's comments. His handwriting is all over the book! Hahaha Ron is really one of my favorite characters in HP ever since. This is why I love him so much! :))

Beedle the Bard
A package came just a few days ago. Inside was some harry potter collectibles. Felt sooo happy as I unpack these treasures! :D
Tumblr media
Looks like a real book right? Actually, it's not really. It's just a container box. :)
Tumblr media
When you open the book, you can find these inside. A set of postcards and the book itself! Cool covers isn't?! \m/
Tumblr media
Can't wait to read this! Just wait til my schedule become a bit less hectic. :)

Lights and Wheels
Few weeks ago, I was invited to a car show organized by a friend. Went there around 7pm I think to check out these cool cars. :)

One thing I regret not doing during this night was to take a picture of the one and only Ferrari car in the place. We went out to eat dinner for a while but when we got back, the Ferrari was already gone.  T^T Below is the only picture I managed to capture. (Look for the red one near the spotlight)

Wishing for a cool car like these babies. :p Oh well...someday... XD

South Trippin'
Me and my orgmates have been planning this for months and I'm glad it finally happened. It started months before when we first went to Gilmore to buy something. Afterwards, we went for a north adventure just to kill time. Well, you can say that it's a north 'adventure' for me since I'm originally from the south (of Manila) and it's very unlikely for me to visit some destinations in the north area. Anyway, because of the north trip we had before, I had to organize a south trip in return. We don't actually have much to offer in the south so we just decided to pig ourselves out by finding a good place to eat. After minutes of searching, we finally settled down with Red Kimono at West Gate Filinvest, Alabang. We chose the buffet menu which is worth 595 each. Then we also ordered bottomless ice tea which costs an additional of 75 each. I didn't actually bring a camera with me so I just took pictures from my phone instead.
Tumblr media
Warning before you order: According to the rules, if there are any leftovers, you are required to pay double. So better make sure to eat ALL the food you order. Sharing is permitted but there are no take outs allowed.
So yeah, on to the menu. For appetizers we ordered these:
Tumblr media
Crabstick Roll
Tumblr media
Gyoza
Tumblr media
Miso Soup
For the main course:
Tumblr media
Tempura Maki
Tumblr media
Tofu Steak
Tumblr media
Prawn Tempura
Tumblr media
Sukiyaki Beef (The trap card!!! Just like I thought, we would have a hard time eating this all up. As in, busog na talaga kami na tipong malapit na masuka. Err Noodles and soup in a buffet is not a good combination. Even though it tasted good, I should have insisted not to order this).
For the dessert:
Tumblr media
Chocolate balls (Kids love this "daw". For me it's too sweet.)
We also ordered Buko Pandan Special and Vanilla Ice Cream. We're already busy eating so I forgot to take pictures. :p
All in all, I can say that all of the food we ordered is great. But my advice for those who will try the buffet, it's better not to order any noodles, soups or maki's (since it contains rice as well). It's really heavy in the stomach and you'll definitely cannot eat more. Also, when trying the buffet, it's required to order at least one cup of rice. In our case, we ordered Gohan Rice:
Tumblr media
It also tasted good but again, it's heavy to eat as well. I think it took us around three hours to finish all the meals (well, almost). The one that we really had a hard time finishing is the sukiyaki like what I previously mentioned. Good thing, the waiter took that dish out even though there's a little bit more left in the bowl. When they did that, we really felt a HUGE RELIEF! No additional fees! YAY!~
Yep, we had a fun time pigging out. Though I cannot really say that I went there for an actual 'buffet'. Why?
First is because you can't really pick the foods you want on a certain amount. If you ordered a tempura maki, they will give you 8 pieces of it. If you're curious to try out a new dish, you can't predict how much servings will it be. Eventually ,after ordering, you are required TO EAT ALL OF IT.
Second, when I computed all of our food expenses even if we didn't try the buffet menu, the price is exactly the same! Seriously, it's a breakeven!
But oh well, at least we enjoyed the food. Maybe, I will try to eat there again someday but may not try the buffet or better yet, bring people who eat so much to make sure that it's worth the price you're paying. Haha
After we got out, we decided to walk towards Alabang Town Center to burn all the things we've eaten. Then, we decided to spend the rest of the time playing in Timezone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thank you Jen and JM for a wonderful and successful south trippin! Til our next adventure! :D

The start of the 'Extravagant Challenge'
Tumblr media
At last! My most awaited live action series finally started! As you may remember about my entry here, Skip beat was one of my ultimate favorite anime. So when I heard last year that they resumed in filming, I can't help but to feel excited especially now that the show is officially on. Seriously, I totally forgot to watch the premier of the said series last December 18,2011! And it's already on its fourth week as of today! @_@ Currently, there are 3 episodes that can be watched online and thankfully they already subbed in english. I hope they would upload immediately the fourth one that will be shown today. :)
THE ADAPTATION
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Extravagant Challenge is the title of this Taiwanese Drama featuring Ivy Chen as Gong Xi (Mogami Kyoko), Korean pop stars Lee Donghae as Bu Puo Shang (Fuwa Sho) and Choi Siwon as Dun He Lian (Tsuruga Ren) from Super Juniors. It's a live action adaptation of the Japanese manga Skip Beat by Yoshiki Nakamura. For more info visit wikipedia or this link for the characters and promotional videos.
I am very much satisfied on how they adapted this live action. The portrayal of the scenes and roles are really similar from its anime/manga version and I'm happy that they really stick to its original storyline. I find the animation of Gong Xi's ghosts really amusing. I love the OST and it is sung by Super Juniors themselves. I even find this song really catchy. I think they haven't released the full version of it so its title and singer are still unknown. I hope they soon release this as I definitely download and add it on my playlist. One thing that made me really love the series more is the casting itself. I think having Donghae and Siwon added up to that factor (especially Donghae! <3 <3). There was even this part in episode three when Siwon sang 'Sorry sorry'. Haha! :)
Anyway, I really recommend this drama especially Skip Beat fanatics out there. Oh yes, I'm totally supporting this! Can't wait for the fourth episode. Waaaa~

The Encore
Tumblr media
Yes, Mario Maurer is coming back in town this December! Yay! :D Finally, I was able to get this invite just this weekend in exchange to the Philippine Fashion Week invite I had. As you may remember in my previous entry here, we didn't get a chance to go inside the venue so this is how Penshoppe made it up for us. The only problem I noticed here is that the event will take place on a Tuesday. So I'm kinda worried because I might start working soon and I fear that I'm gonna be late. I guess most people have the same concerns especially those who still have class or work. :\

Hiking Adventure
It wasn't my first time to hike a mountain but it felt like ages ago since I really find it hard this time. Blame it to unhealthy diet these past few days, 30 mins of sleep and no regular exercise. Damn I swore I would never hike another mountain for now. Haha.
My first time to go hiking was way back in 2nd yr highschool. We went for a field trip in Mt. Makiling with the Lakbay Kalikasan facilitators. In the middle of our trekking, rain started to pour down but we continued on despite of the slippery ground. They even tied a rope through trees for us to hold on to and also for our safety. I didn't find it that tiring though maybe because we don't actually climbed to the top of the mountain.
The second time would be in my 3rd yr when we hiked Mt. Banahaw, again as our field trip for that year. I remembered that it took us almost 4 hours I think until we reached the top. Too bad, I don't have a picture taken. It was the time when digital cameras and cellphones with cam are still rare.
The third one just happened recently when we climbed Mt. Maculot. This time we went there just for an adventure. We've been planning to go to Mt. Pinatubo before but because time won't permit us and also due to budgetary constraints we did not continue. Good thing this trip did materialized and I'm happy since I only cashed out a little. :)
We first met up in Alabang at around 7am. It's supposed to be 6:30 but I was late because the sole of my right shoe came off! Good thing it came off before I managed to ride a jeepney. I immediately called our maid to bring me another pair of rubber shoes and slippers just to make sure. My travel to Alabang went smoothly and because I just lived in Las Pinas, it only took me around 30 minutes I think. We ate breakfast in Jollibee while waiting for the person who actually organized the trip [yes, I thought I'm the last person who will arrive but I guess not. :p]. We were able to ride a bus at around 8am. The terminal is just a few meters away from our meeting place. We rode a bus going to Batangas and dropped by at Tambo Exit. Time check was 9:15am. Fast isn't it? It's because we chose the star tollway route. Then, we rode a jeep going to Cuenca.
We also met a few mountaineers inside the jeep but unlike us who are only going to a day trip, they on the other hand, are planning for an overnight. As we arrived at our destination we can't help but to feel conscious about our outfits. :p
Things learned when climbing a mountain:
1. Wear black or mostly black outfits like black shirts etc.
2. Wear arm bands or longsleeves to protect your arms; shorts with leggings underneath or high/outdoor socks to cover your legs; gloves for your hands. This might be too hot to wear while hiking but believe me it's the right outfit. ;)
3. Bring small scissors. So that you can cut stems or leaves that are blocking your way.
4. Bring lots of water but don't drink it frequently because water just make your body heavier. It would be harder to climb. :)
5. Bring jellyace. It can be an alternative for water and food.
6. Don't bring too much baggage except if you are planning to stay longer like for an overnight. As much as possible, bring materials that are only lightweight.
We rode a tricycle until we reach the jump off at the foot of the mountain.
Tumblr media
We paid 20 pesos each for the tricycle. There's also a registration fee of 10 pesos before they let you go through. While on the registration area, there's this person who insisted to let us hire a tour guide since it's our first time to climb. Good thing he really insisted because without him, I think we wouldn't be able to climb all the way to the top!
There are three itineraries that you could choose from when hiking Mt. Maculot:
1. Traverse
2. Rockies
3. Summit
We chose the rockies because they said that we could have a very good view up there. Also, we're there on a day trip only so we don''t have that much time to try the traverse nor the summit.
We stopped by in a little house before the actual hike. It's where we went to change, bought some lunch (can you believe we almost forgot about it?!) and took a pee before setting off.
Tumblr media
Then, the hike officially started.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm really really grateful to kuya because he's the one assisting me especially when I was already too tired. He even carried my bag just to help me. Good thing, there's a of lot resting area along the way. What I mean, resting areas that are composed of hand-made chairs or bamboo benches that are stuck between trees.
Tumblr media
We took our lunch in the campsite and the view there was already great.
Tumblr media
We also saw a lot of mountaineers in the site and they even had their tents set up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After  eating, we continued our way to the top or to what they usually call 'the rockies'. They say it's a 15 minute walk from the campsite. It's not that far actually. Just a bit harder because the rocks are big to climb on. First we go down a bit, then up again just like in the picture below.
Tumblr media
The rocks are really big and difficult to climb on. There was even a time when I actually hit my head on the rock above me. It really hurts you know. >_<
Tumblr media
And at last, we finally made it. The effort was worthwhile. Here is the view from the rockies.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It took us about 2 and a half hours in total to reach the rockies [including pit stops and lunch in the camp site]. Our tour guide said that we are already fast for first timers. He even shared a story about the Filipino mountaineers who went there to train before they climbed up Mt. Everest. He said they only climbed up for 5 minutes only! As in, they were running daw! How the hell did they do that?! @_@
Anyway, if we tried the summit, I don't know if I can actually make it. Seeing how high it was, I instantly gave up. Here's a sample pic of the summit itself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We walked a bit further towards the grassy area to get a better view.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Indeed, the view there was entirely amazing! It was also windy so it felt really good. You can also see the taal lake!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We just stayed in the windy area for a few minutes because we need to give the other mountaineers a chance too. The other side was a little bit sunnier but still the view is great.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We decided to go down at around 3 or 4 pm. It might be easier to climb down but seeing the big rocks and how steep the pathway was,I tell you, it was kind of scary.
Tumblr media
It only took us about an hour I think when we finally reached the bottom. We took a rest again in the little house we first went to. Then, we ate some halo-halo. Yum!
Tumblr media
Thanks again to kuya for being so kind and helpful to us. I really had a great time! I will definitely come back again someday. :)

Fan Conference
I can't believe I finally saw Mario Maurer in person today. As usual, he carries the 'innocent look' that we all love so much. I arrived at the PICC around 11am and damn the line was already that long.
Tumblr media
They said that the opening of the gates is 11am but we were able to got in around 12 already. We stood in line there for about an hour and a half I think. Good thing there were control numbers in our passes so I'm lucky enough to belong to those people with pink stickers which is between 1-1000. The seats are still first come first serve.
There was this funny situation you see when we are looking for seats.
There's a certain area that we are only allowed to pick seats from and since I'm already far behind the line, we only got a place on the far left of the stage. Then suddenly, we heard that we're allowed to go to the lower seats. By the time they announced this, people started rushing towards the middle part because it's the nearest way to go down. Of course, everyone wanted to get close as possible! Good thing we're already on the sides so we just took that route but then the bouncer blocked us. We immediately turned our backs and rush towards the middle but suddenly, some girls started to mount the small dividers and jumped down! I was planning to do the same but then the bouncer caught me and just told me to use the way they previously blocked us off [Walang nagawa eh. Fans are crazy. Haha!] So there, we were able to get seats 3 rows from the front. But then again, there was this voice who suddenly told us to go back where we first came from and reminded us for our actions. I really regret following that voice because it became a some sort of a trick to us. In a matter of few minutes when almost everyone stood up to go back, she suddenly told us to just stay where we currently are and don't move. Good thing, we were not yet far from the lower seats so we went back again but this time we're already on the 6th row from the front. We lost the nearer seats. Aww! :|
Anyway, here the pics from the Penshoppe Fan Conference. Sorry, if the angle was not that good. Like I said, we were seated on the far left of the stage but at least closer enough to view his face. :p

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Check out this video of Mario as one of his fan teaches him how to Dougie! :D Overall, I think the fan conference is still fun especially when Mario dances the Dougie. Haha! So cutee! Too bad I wasn't one of the lucky ten fans who were able to get on stage to have a picture with Mario. :| Actually, the girl BESIDE ME was chosen by Mario! Yes, I was THAT CLOSE from getting picked! I saw her waving the paperbag of penshoppe that's why she was easily spotted by Mario! I even thought of copying her. Why didn't I think of that earlier?! Now I missed that chance to get close to him. Lucky gal! I envy her so much. Those 10 actually plus the Dougie guy. T^T
These are some of the freebies we've got from the fan con:
Tumblr media
Right after the fancon, me and my newly found friend went straight to SM Mall of Asia to be able to get invites to the Philippine Fashion Week. Mario Maurer is hitting the runway next for Penshoppe so of course, I have to be there. Hoho. Because I already attended the fancon, I only spend 300 worth of merchandise from Penshoppe to get an invite instead of 1,000 worth of purchase for those who does not have. This is only applicable to the SM Moa branch since it's in line with the opening of their new renovated store.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Excited for tomorrow! Still don't know what to wear though. It's actually my first time to attend PFW. I just got tickets for the MTV Exit tomorrow as well which is also the same time as this. Good thing, the event are near to each other. So I guess, goodluck to me for hitting two birds with one stone. :p

Gadgets Part 3
My very first android phone! Cha-Cha-Cha!! :D
Tumblr media
HTC Cha Cha's main feature was its facebook application. You can see the built-in key just below the keyboard. It's actually a touch and type phone though I find the screen too small. In terms of size, it's almost similar to my Nokia E63 phone but only slimmer and lighter so I guess I prefer bringing this with me. When I read reviews about this phone, I found out that most comments were about its battery and memory capacity. Don't misunderstand because it has a microSD and I haven't tried myself how long the battery would last (I just charged it you see. Haha). I think the downside of it is that it's kind of troublesome when transferring the apps you download since it's always stored in the phone's memory (Again, I am just about to figure out if this is true as well). The android market was also fascinating! There are a lot of cool apps. Almost similar to the app store for Apple but when it comes to categories, I think the Android market has a lot more free stuff and much specific too since it's easier to search/find the app you're looking for.
Overall, I think this phone is more of 'social' because most of its features are being integrated to social networking sites. Also, I find transferring contacts, messages and other info from my previous phone to this one a lot easier. When you start it up for the first time, it will let you to automatically sync with another phone through bluetooth. It just a matter of minutes when you see all of your files/contacts/messages are transferred. :)
