The George Floyd incidence has left me heartbroken and I've been trying to think of a way to help. So I've decided I'm opening up commissions. My specialty is knitting but I also do felt embroidery sometimes. All the money will be donated.
If you are interested please leave a comment on this post, or send me a message. You could also email me at [email protected]. I can pretty much do anything, although keep in mind that if you want a really big project like a jumper it will take a long time. I will give you a price, although I am somewhat flexible as I understand not everyone is well off. You can either send me the money to donate, or donate it yourself to Black Lives Matter, or a related cause of your choice. If you send it yourself I will need proof.
If you’re not interested yourself please consider reblogging or sharing with someone you think might be interested!
Here are some examples of my work.

Hi there
Just because some people still seem to be unaware of this:
- Disabled people DO NOT LIKE IT when you constantly tell them how brave they are
- Disabled people DO NOT LIKE IT when you constantly talk about how blessed you are for not having their disability
- Disabled people DO NOT LIKE IT when you help them, only to tell everyone/tweet about it afterwards
- Disabled people DO NOT LIKE IT when you use them and their friendship to feel like a good person

We do need “sugars” but we don’t need “sugar”, in the form of refined carbohydrates (white flour, pasta, rice, etc.) or things with added sugar. Those things are incredibly bad for you because they are immediately converted to glucose, causing a “spike” in energy levels. Since you don’t need all of that glucose at once, the glucose must be converted to glycogen and stored. Insulin is the hormone that does this, but if it has to deal with too many spikes then you develop a resistance to it, and that’s type II diabetes. Storage of too much sugar in the form of glycogen also causes obesity, and contributes to various other conditions including fatty liver disease, some cancers and even dementia.
Now, if you eat unrefined carbohydrates (whole meal pasta, flour, etc) then the presence of fibre in them stops an energy spike from happening - instead the energy is released slowly and more at the rate it is needed by the body. This means the energy lasts you longer, and less of it is stored. Therefore less insulin is released by your body, and you don’t develop a resistance to it due to too much being released.
It’s similar with fruit - yes, there’s sugar in fruit, but there’s also a lot of fibre, causing slow release of energy. The amount of fibre also makes it really hard to eat too much fruit, because it fills you up so quickly.
So while we do need sugars in our diet, those sugars do not need to come from refined foods with added sugar.
(Source: I had to do a lot of research on this for a school paper, but the main source I used was a documentary called Fed Up by Stephanie Soechtig)
we need carbs and we need fats and we need proteins and honestly fuck diet culture for normalizing malnourishment

Hey there fellow golden child and university dropout, this is beautiful.
Oh my life I’ve been called the golden child by my family. I’ve been hiding the fact that I’m bisexual for six years. Something I’d be disowned for. I was in a relationship last year in which the girl I was dating thought of me as absolutely perfect. I’ve been struggling with depression for my entire adolescent and young adult life. When she found out she made fun of me on her social media. Last year I was given a full ride scholarship to University and my friends and family couldn’t be prouder. I dropped out after a year because I couldn’t handle it there. Being called perfect has become just a reminder of how messed up things can get, and how much of a disappointment I can be to those around me. I’m really done being sorry for not being perfect. No one is, and no one should have that expectation. This song is called “apologies”.
