analyzing "The Wall Between Us" line by line

ok so for reference, im using the translation from this video ("The Wall Between Us" is a song from the Miraculous Awakening movie that is going to come out soon!!):

"She is standing right behind me. She smiles at me and turns her eyes. I think I understand her funny game."

Personally, I think this is adrien talking about mari, and referring to her "funny game" as her weirdly nervous behavior around him. He is starting to actually understand why she acts like that or at least deciphering her code lmfao

"When I see him, I'm not me anymore. I turn red and talk softly. I run out of breath and my heart beats fast."

This obviously is mari talking about adrien, how she stutters and blushes when hes around and can't even get out a normal sentence because of that. Buttt you can draw a weird parallel to ladynoir, with the line "when i see him, im not me anymore" referring to how cat noir gives ladybug her strength and confidence, which is not really her in her civilian life as mari (idk just a thought lol)

"Get away! It's the only thing I can do. My heart is upside down, I sense a power that pulls me beyond the wall between us."

I think this is Adrien just pushing away his feelings for both ladybug and marinette, or just marinette, because he can't and doesn't wanna pick between them. There is chaos in his heart because he is torn between the two, but weirdly feels that both are the same ("..I sense a power...").

"But why? I dare not tell him anything. I want him just for me, his light, his smile for one night, crossing this wall between us."

My interpretation of this is mari being impatient, as I am assuming she knows cat noir's true identity, but he doesn't know hers, which means she has to be patient for their relationship to develop. She doesn't dare tell him anything, because something, a theoretical "wall" is preventing her from doing that. This could be Hawkmoth not defeated yet, her responsibilities as guardian, etc.

"And yet, when I think of her, I feel unfaithful. I want to run away into the night to see my Ladybug. I have a heart to duel."

I think this is adrien somehow feeling "unfaithful" towards his love for ladybug, because he likes marinette, hence the first line and the "I have a heart to duel" line. This poor kid, he's been thru sm stress, someone tell the kid theyre the same person please!!!! its torture!!

"You and me. If we could see each other beyond the mirror, forget our masks for one night. Let's break off the pieces of this wall between us."

I don't think this part is necessarily from anyone's point of view, because if we are assuming there is a partial reveal, it wouldn't make sense for adrien to be singing this song, yet its both voices singing it in the song above. Maybe its just for the purpose of the song and not actually related to a deeper meaning?

"I do not understand what I want. I do not want to fall in love. Where does this mysterious feeling come from?"

This is just repeating what was said above, but basically adrien feels unfaithful towards ladybug because of his feelings for mari and doens't wanna fall in love with mari, and is questioning why he feels his way (prolly bc hes been cooped up for 14 years and knows nothing abt love...we have gabriel to thank for that lol)

"A day will come, you will discover the happiness of two, you and me, when we will hug each other."

This is obv mari talking to adrien, saying that one day he will realize that they were meant to be and finally be togetherrrrr (post reveal).

But why, if my heart is elsewhere, do I feel a soul, a warmth? A thrill that brings me happiness."

Literally this dumbo still being confused. Nothing to see here.

"Yet I feel it, this whirlwind of feelings that takes hold of us firmly and in the sun and in the wind. A unique change, magic is stirring."

In another translation that was all in English, it says "It's taking over, I let go and close my eyes because I know this is a one-time chance, a magical romance." (video linked below). And mari is right, it is truly a one-time chance. Ladybug and Cat noir are truly meant for each other and their realtionship is like one in a zillion, something that's very rare, and hard to come across. Mari knows this, so even when she is overwelmed and frustrated by the situation, she goes with the flow because she knows its how its meant to be and will end up perfectly.

"It's strong when I see it, I want to shout it from the roofs, our love that reaches out to us, but I know I should not. This is not the moment. We have to be patient. Be patient."

This seems more like mari talking to herself, convincing herself that here is still this "wall" between them, and she cannot yet tell cat noir/adrien the truth. It confuzzles me becaue what is she waiting for tho? the defeat of hawkmoth? her giving up the miracle box? and this just randomly came to me but in the episode "Timetagger" we saw that there will be another hawk moth in the future, who is obv evil, so will ladybug and cat noir ever defeat him and find out each others identifies? it would be depressing if they didn't lol

"I know that one day we will fly. Because, my love, one day you will see that with me, you will become who you are."

Apparently mari was having the same concerns as me, as here i think she is either reassuring herself that it will be okay and everything will turn out how its supposed to, or giving adrien/cat noir time to figure out his mess of feelings and realize that ladybug is mari and live happily ever after lol

"We will be together in the night, like in the day, when all that glitters. Our love will be to infinity."

I think this is about how ladynoir will eventually happen (in the night, behind their masks), just as adrientte is kinda happening in their civilian life (in the day), after they know each others true identities.

"Despite the wall between us, love goes from one side to the other. We are together, a rare strength. For you, I will wait a lifetime, because yes, I love you to madness. I will love you to infinity..."

This is both of them singing, but again, idk why since adrien doesnt know ladybug's identity, but if we see it from mari's point of view, its basically saying how even though theres this theoretical "wall" between them, whatever it may be, their love is so rare and so strong, that they will make it in the end. #cringe lol, kinda cute tho

Adrientte: not meant to be?

Ok so we all love the romance between Adrientte, but looking deeper into the ship, is it really meant to be? Before you attack me, hear me out. I am just talking about this specific ship between these two amazing people. First of all, it's only one-sided. Marinette is clearly borderline-stalkerishly in love with Adrien, but he does not return the feelings as he is in love with Ladybug. Even that is a little sketchy to me though. If Mari really loved adrien, why did she develop such strong feelings for Luka? If you really love someone, you would have no eyes for anyone else. In additoin, she can't even get a straight sentence out in front of him! She stammers and gets all nervous, and isn't exactly as comfortable as she is with let's say...Cat Noir. Now of course the romantic scenes between Adrien and mari are the cutest (like the one above), but I think this specific ship is only meant to be a high school romance, and nothing more. Their energies of ying and yang don't even match, as if they were not given the miraculous, they wouldn't have the opporunity to become their true selves. Cat Noir is adrien's true self, fearless, and free, and Ladybug is Marinette's true self, a strong badass leader who is confident in her decisions. I would argue that Cat Noir and Ladybug's relationship is the only one that is "meant to be", as they are truly each other's ying and yang, and their energies balance out. Sure, ladybug is portryaed as being more powerful than cat noir, but she said it herself, she could not be ladybug with out (New York Special: Marinette: "I can't imagine being ladybug...without him"). They support each other directly and indrectly and therefore are the perfect power couple. Adrinette is more of a cute school romance. What are your thoughts?
