A nice thing to think about is that everything gets easier the more you do it. You can teach yourself most anything. Playing an instrument, making friends, applying to jobs, thinking more positively. Things seem hard at first but after trying them out 100 times they seem much more achievable. You can do a lot if you're patient. If you don't villainize yourself because you can't do something after the first try.

hermes in hadestown is the exact opposite of an unreliable narrator. a tortured narrator. a little *too* reliable. incredibly aware of exactly what is happening at any given moment, vaguely spoiling it for you in the beginning, despairing every second of it. but ultimately motivated to continue to tell the story over and over and over with a smiling face for the sake of the audience, and for the sake of the characters themselves, singing it again to keep them alive. knowing how it will end, but singing it again so that the cycle may restart and eurydice may come back to life. enduring the misery of it all, over and over, holding the knowledge of what will come to pass but continuing anyway to see orpheus happy just one more time before it all goes down in flames again.

isnt rafe like 5 years older than the pogues… they’re 18-19 in this season which would mean rafe knew kie as a minor why do people want them together

he’s only 3 years older, but yes lol. in season 1, he was 19 and she was 15-16!! i have no clue! it’s not about the age, i think a lot of people don’t truly factor the age in or how it’s weird! i think they notice the “tension” and “sparks” between riara and ship them for that reason 😭🤷🏻‍♀️

people can ship whoever they want! kie and rafe are both consenting adults, so it’s not an issue with the age anymore, but riara just isn’t for me. and if they make riara happen in season 5, that is truly the most appalling writing i have ever seen. because there’s no way kie would get over jj by getting under rafe.

jj would be rolling in his fucking grave. kie would not do that to jj. and i can’t imagine rafe, who JUST proposed to sofia and then got his trust squashed would go after kiara. it makes no sense at all and it’ll be the worst writing in history if they make riara a thing.

I feel like trump looking likely to beat a more competent and qualified female candidate twice, both being the only times a woman has been a nominated presidential candidate, is a real blow to the psyche for all women and girls in the U.S.. It seems to deliver a message of "no matter how put-together, professional, and smart you are, you will always lose to the dumbest, loudest man in the room."
