Post apocalypse whump needs more recognition.

What kind of apocalypse? Zombie, nuclear Armageddon? Virus?

Whumpee and caretaker fighting for their lives.

Maybe whumpee gets sick and can't fight for a while, so caretaker nurses them back to health.

Whumpe could also have a form of disability, maybe they can't run to well because of it.

What if whumpee got kidnapped by whumper? Leader of a rouge camp

Minimal resources, dangerous enemies.

Maybe whumper chained them outside to teach them a lesson in misbehaving.

Or maybe they are lost in a forest. Extra points if they're injured or bleeding. And can't find their way out.

Maybe caretaker finds them bleeding out and unconscious on the cold forest floor and takes them to their cottage to heal them.

I love caretaker lives in a cozy cottage in the forest and heals whumpee there type of trope.

Please consider giving your whumpees the hottest, most mind-melting, intestine-boiling, miserable fever, leaving her with barely functional lungs/glazed and distant eyes/an inability to keep anything down/constant dehydration/sweat soaking everything, and with her team/caretakers completely stressed out and unsure what to do. Bonus points if it's from an infected wound. Okay thanks for considering <3

whumpee pinned under a fallen pine tree in the forest.

they reach their leather-gloved hand out as far as they can, but can only grab fistfuls of snow. they’re alone. once their warm clothes get soaked through with snow, they’ll have a hard time keeping their body temperature up.

not to mention the broken bones they might have from being crushed by the heavy tree trunk. if their ribs are cracked, and they shift the wrong way, a shard of bone could pierce their lungs, and it’s hard enough for them to breathe as it is…

I never knew how many diologes can work for both caretaker and whumper!

you know what whump trope I love?

the same dialogue being used for both whumper and caretaker, but in very different contexts!

“This’ll hurt,” (Before being tortured / before taking off a Bandaid)

“Don’t move.” (While whumper restrains them / while caretaker brushes their hair)

“Quiet down.” (Whumper yelling at sobbing whumpee / caretaker gently shushing excited whumpee)

“They’re not coming for you.” (Whumper telling them no one will save them / Caretaker telling them no one will kidnap them)

“I’m only trying to help.” (Whumper pretending to take care of them / Caretaker actually taking care of them)

“You’ll never see them again.” (Whumper mocking them / Caretaker reassuring them)

Recovering whumpee sleeping sleeping on top of, or curled up with their arms around, caretaker because it's the only way they feel safe enough to sleep at all.

It makes it harder for caretaker to sleep but they don't mind because they know that it helps whumpee.
