Our Blog's Name
We named our blog, "MyGenderMyBusiness" because we believe that one's gender identity is deeply personal, and should not be determined by what other people want or expect. We're concerned that social media tries to force people into specific gender categories and expects certain behavior from each gender. Through this blog, we hope to encourage individuals to feel comfortable expressing their true gender identity online and in the real world!

Welcome (our first post!)
Hi! This is the blog of Ayana Whitmal '18 and Kevin Neilson '17. We're looking at how gender is expressed through social media, and why it seems that people feel forced to conform to certain norms on social media. This is a project for Women and Gender Studies 10.
