The fact that literal medicine is growing in our backyards and they’re classified as “weeds” annoys me so fucking much.
See this “weed”?
That’s Cuban Jute and it can be used to treat:
Fevers
Digestion issues
Headaches
Boils
Pimples
Rheumatism
Toothaches
Like whole ass MEDICINE!!! And I’m supposed to just mow it down😭
How about this “weed”
Brazilian Vervain!! Fucking VERVAIN!
HORSENETTLE!!!
The fact that these are considered “weeds” upsets me to my very core.

Witches Sabbats: Mabon
MABON (pronounced “MAY-bun”, “MAH-bun”), falls on the Autumnal/Vernal Equinox which occurs between the 21st and 23rd of September in the Northern Hemisphere. It is the date of the second harvest, and the day on which daytime and nighttime is divided equally.
MABON: ORIGINS
There is very little evidence that Mabon was celebrated by ancient Celtic cultures, despite it’s Celtic (Welsh) name. From what we know, the name Mabon was coined in 1970 by Aidan Kelly, as part of the Wheel of the Year.
We do know, however, that ancient cultures celebrated the autumnal equinox which is exactly when Mabon falls.

Offerings & Devotions | Persephone 🌺🦇
Offerings | 🌰
Any kind of flowers/plants
Pomegranates or related items/foods
Bones, bones, bones! (Note: remember to honor the animal that once carried them)
Tarot cards/decks you associate with her
Nuts & seeds! I love giving her hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds, and pumpkin seeds. (Note: do not eat food you offer to her!)
It can be as simple as offering Persephone small fruits like plums, peaches, guayabas, cherries, strawberries, and quenepas.
Anything to do with grains! Bread, pasta, oatmeal, breakfast cereals, tortillas, and grits.
Anything mint related like food, a mint plant, or perfume or gum!
Jewelry! I plan on offering her a tiara/crown
Honey in general is a popular offering for her (any deity tbh)
Lemon-y foods
Poetry/Hymns
Candles that smell of flowers or fruits
Herbs, dried flowers/plants, fruit seeds/pits
Crystals that makes you think of her! Angel aura quartz, rose quartz, agate, & opalite screams her name to me!
Drink wise (pour the drink down the sink/outside once you’ve offered), honey & milk, coffee, hot chocolate, water.
Bat, ram, and deer related items/imagery
Devotions | 🍄
Raise some plants! Take care of plants! Sing to plants! Give all your love to plants!!!! Name them too. (‘: (grow some mint maybe!)
Sing her songs that you associate with her! Or hum the songs! I usually hum “Charon’s Crossing” by Beats Antique because it reminds me of her and I love the idea of Persephone and Kharon being buds.
Muse about your past lives with her (if you believe in the concept)! She is the goddess of reincarnation, so no doubt she’s seen you as many different humans/creatures and loves you all the same.
Celebrate Ostara and Imbolc wth her!
Also honor Persephone during Samhain as she returns to the underworld and Haides.
Walk barefoot in forests/fields (be careful tho of glass and stuff)
Contact some Nymphs and begin working with them since Persephone surrounded herself with them a lot! A UPG of mines is that Persephone is the matron of the elven & fae folk as well hehe
Preform bath rituals in her name. Add some flower petals for a nice touch and as an offering to her!
Ask if she wants to cast a spell with you! You both can work together to cast the spell and hang out. Don’t forget to thank her!
Visit a graveyard and clean up, maybe offer the dead some food like nuts, small cakes, fruits, etc. place out some coins too!
Contact her through bone divination! Or take some flowers and do the “they love me/they loves me not” form of divination with a yes/no question.
Read some poetry about her! There’s so many poetries written about her omehaidkeks so read them aloud to her. Also make one for her!
Make a playlist for her!
Set up a bird feeder outside during spring and summer!
Even simply studying her myths and who she is as a goddess is an act of devotion. So don’t overthink it! Do what feels right in regards of devotional acts towards her!
How to get closer | 🌱
Meditate upon her; channel your godphone and let her voice, touch, and thoughts embrace you. Listen to her & talk to her.
celebrate her associated sabbats with her in her honor. Pamper her and spoil her with lovely offerings (it doesn’t have to be expensive offerings! Give what you can, she will be happy no matter what it may be 🥰)
A lot of people who worship chthonic deities such as Persephone, practice spirit work as well. You don’t have to do this, but I see it as a form of becoming closer with her and understanding her more. I personally have not done this yet and probably won’t for awhile, but I think it would benefit the relationship.
If you are romantic with her (even if you aren’t romantic with her, these are very nice gestures), write love letters, bake her sweet treats with the intent of love and forming a stronger bond, leave a space open for her before you go to bed in case she would like to sleep beside you, ask her to accompany you every other day, muse about her.
Open yourself up to her. Show her your joy, sorrow, frustration, anger, etc. don’t hide them and do not be afraid to ask her for help. Tell her about your good or bad days, vent to her, ask for advice, show her every aspect of who you are. You do not have to be happy and serious all the time with her or any deity you devote to, darling.

The differences between rain water and storm water.
I myself got pretty confused when i first started as i thought rain water and storm water were the same thing. I’m not sure if this is a problem among other witches, but they are different and its super important!!
Rain water:
Rain water is water from any common rain or light shower (not a literal shower;).
Its often used as a base for cleansing, weather magick and is associated with new starts and luck.
Storm water:
Storm water is water from any heavy storm featuring thunder and/or lighting.
It can be used to deflect curses, however it can also be the base for many curses to make it more powerful (I am no way promoting the use of curses, just listing what this type of water can be used for.). It can also be used to move through memories or regrets and is used in weather magick, water magick and once again, curses.
I hope this helps everyone a little!
You may reblog but please don’t repost!!

I felt that We, black people, needed a night to let go of the individual, inherited, or generational traumas and the emotions surrounding them that are being stirred up due to this R. Kelly discourse. Thé videos linked are specifically Hoodoo based -so if you aren’t black please find a suitable way to do the work(spell).
Candle color options:
White: protection and healing
Pink: self love
Blue: healing
Black: protection and banishing
Herbs to use: Rosemary, Calendula/Sunflowers, Angelica Root
Making Spiritual Baths: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7uqQ-KFsA0 // https://youtu.be/k3z0pZPewXw (shoutout to @ancestralmedicinemagic)
Dressing a Candle: https://youtu.be/sbu3GOYP6VY // https://youtu.be/R5xvbC4Yobg
If you would like to evaluate your emotions here’s some prompts. If you rather not skip down to the next section.
Identify your trauma; you don’t need to go into detail but call it what it is.
Identify what ways this trauma has affected you: powerlessness, lack of bodily autonomy, heavy hearted, angry at yourself, angry at the person/people/situation.
-This will be burned the night of the work. You can write down as much or as as little as you want. But remain honest, and allow your feelings to be written down. -
Journal prompts:
What do you need? This can be simple like « I need to be asked how my day was », to « I need to have an hour of alone time daily », to « I need read more books. »
What can you do to empower/honor yourself?
What boundaries can you put in place?

How to talk to the wind
If the wind falls silent, she is listening to you. Speak.
Always whisper.
In case there is a wind swirl carrying autumn leaves, step back. Let her dance.
Don’t go outside if the wind is howling. The ghosts are passing through.
She already knows everything about you. Never lie.
You may play the flute.
Listen to storms. Don’t talk.
She gives life to your words. Make them meaningful. Especially when you talk to her.
If she whispers in your ear, listen closely. It means she trusts you enough to share her secrets.
Words travel far and fast. Don’t say anything that could awake the spirits.
She has a strong temperament and gets angry easily. Make sure to always be nice to her, you don’t want to be on her bad side.
If she is talking to thunder, leave them alone. They don’t want you to hear.
When she greets you with a breeze the following morning, pretend you didn’t hear them.
A sudden draft is always a bad omen.
Never, ever, complain about her. She will remember.

☁️clouds in witchcraft☁️
now, i’m by no means a weather witch, but using all aspects of the earth is really important to me in my craft. i’ve always been fascinated by clouds on a scientific level, but the significance of them in my witchcraft is quite high, too. i’m even making my own divination system based off of clouds! so, these are my general, personal correspondences for any type of magic.
stratus - hazy, featureless, low-level drizzle clouds - hidden truths, unclear motives. secrets
altostratus - mid-altitude, uniform grey-bluish sheet - strength, stability, prosperity
cirrostratus - high-altitude, thin, wispy, fragmented - beginnings, renewal, wishes
nimbostratus - mid-level, thick, dark formless layer - power, abundance
cumulus - flat-based, puffy - childishness, joy
altocumulus - similar to cirrocumulus but bigger and darker - comfort, safety
cirrocumulus - small, high, patchy. often in rows - dreams, intuition, future thinking
stratocumulus - low-altitude, larger elements than altocumulus, darker - protection, courage, wisdom
cirrus - many altitudes, thin, wispy strands - freedom, travel, adventure
cumulonimbus - intense vertical clouds, rain and storm producing - turmoil, difficult times, change
personally, i use clouds in sigil making (using minimalist depictions or meteorological symbols), divination (more on this soon!), visualisation, and spells where i want my intent to manifest in a productive way. i hope you can use these correspondences, and i’d love to see how you do!
if you’d like to support me and my blog, and would like a cheap tarot reading, tarot or rune bag, cute patches or custom sigils, please click here! i run this etsy as my only source of income, so it’s the only way i can pay rent and bills. thankyou dears~

• the 1st house and vibes
Sun in 1st – Known presence, immediately noticed. Someone who brings such warmth, like you’ve literally seen the Sun. Leaders and they give off that energy. Someone not afraid to express their interests, their identity, all about self-expression.
Moon in 1st – Intense presence, maybe even argumentative. Very nurturing and caring. They have a fire inside they carry everywhere they go, someone not afraid to express their feelings through some expression (depends on the moon sign).
Mercury in 1st – Somewhat arrogant presence, but usually that arrogance is covered by their knowledge and intelligence. Ideas come quickly to them. Someone not afraid to express their opinion, honest even rude sometimes. Also not afraid to be curious, very energetic.
Venus in 1st – Very charming, magnetic presence. Irresistable with humor. Someone who is not afraid to chase their love, someone who is not afraid to express that love and give it. Protective and supporting also loyal friends and lovers.
Mars in 1st – Aggressive, assertive also arrogant presence. Quick, direct, impulsive, impatient. You can notice all that because they are not afraid of expressing it, they are not afraid to show who they are even upon meeting. You get what you see with them. Someone who is not afraid to fight their battles, someone who is not afraid of being themselves, someone who is powerful.
Jupiter in 1st – Very jovial presence, optimistic, they bring joy. Someone who is not afraid of life, someone who does not lose faith, optimistic & positive, someone who is compassionate and still holds their principles. Someone who feels and is unstoppable.
Saturn in 1st – Someone who might look youthful but very serious and mature, very cautious as well. Someone who is trying to bring independence and responsibility into one, someone who is not afraid to try and balance those out. Someone who accompanied by their strong morals finds freedom and boundaries a bit hard to balance. But they can succeed if they keep being brave to try.
Uranus in 1st – Strong presence, leaders, eccentric, different. Someone unconventional, unusual, unpredictable and spontaneous. Someone who is not afraid to be themselves, someone who is intelligent. With that intelligence they are someone who is not afraid to stand for a cause, someone who is a rebel, who can lead people.
Neptune in 1st – Here the 1st house is the softer side, dreamy, attractive presence, someone about their gentleness and sweetness draws you in. Someone who is not afraid to be sensitive and express it, someone who is not afraid to be a dreamer and use their creativity. Someone who is not afraid to receive from the Universe and create.
Pluto in 1st – Intimidating presence, serious, mysterious, with some darker energy maybe. Magnetic and hypnotizing. Someone who is not afraid to express their identity, someone who is the head of a pack. Someone who is intense and is not afraid of using their power.

Witch tips 1
Since this is a new blog, I’ve decided that for every 10 followers I get, I’ll post 10 tips, pieces of advice, spells, or general witchy things that I do that I want to pass on to others! I’ll be tagging them all as #10tips on my blog so that, in the future when there’s more, there will be an easy way to find them when you want them. Enjoy!
1. When making a wand, take it with you everywhere you go to form a bond with it before you officially initiate it into your tools.
When I started making my wand, I was on a road trip across the US west coast. I blessed it in the ocean, many different rivers, and the most beautiful lake I’ve ever been to. Taking it on my journey with me made me feel like it was a part of me, as it should be!
2. Water is magic, read all about it!
My boyfriend found a book on the magical properties of water at a witchy shop we visited in a small town in Oregon called Charlton. The shop was called Amethyst and Alchemy if you ever find yourself near it. I highly recommend it. The book was very informative and actually science based, if you’re interested. The studies are extremely interesting and can help you when making moon water or any spells that have to do with water.
3. Cleanse, charge, connect, repeat.
Whenever you feel you need to cleanse anything, be it your tarot cards, your crystals, your wand, anything… cleanse it! I’ll have tips on my favorite cleansing method later in this post, but you can use any method you prefer. After you cleanse the item(s) recharge them and give them a lot of energy. Afterwards, remind the item who you are. Tips on connection will also be later.
4. Research how to tell if a crystal is fake.
I’m so sorry to say it, but a lot of stores these days will jump at the opportunity to take advantage of you. Make sure you look into what to look for in each crystal and how to tell if one is real or a glass dupe BEFORE you spend your hard earned money on them.
5. Make yourself a cup of tea.
There is a tea for every occasion. And there are so many tea recipes on here, I know I reblogged a huuuuuge list a little while ago. Make sure you stir clockwise to invoke and counterclockwise to dispel.
6. Clean up your act!
Here are some of my favorite cleansing techniques! Of course, you don’t HAVE to do it this way. There are dozens of different ways to cleanse your tools, but this is just my preferred method that I’ve created over time.
Step one: lay the item in a shell or some kind of bowl shaped piece of nature. I use a shell that I found on a beach, it’s filled with happy memories for me.
Step two: light some sage.
Step three: Take the item you want to cleanse. If you have multiple items, take them one at a time.
Step four: pass the item through the smoke of the sage.
Step five: hold the item in your fist, make sure there’s space for airflow around the item. It’s okay if it sticks out of your hand or if it’s too big for you to hold it entirely, just try your best.
Step six: gently blow into your hand (or onto the object, if it’s huge) while focusing on positive thoughts and positive energy.
And you’re done, it’s all clean!
7. Get yourself a witch name… or two.
A lot of witches in the community have a witch name. Throughout history, witches have had to use secret names in order to survive. Others have done so as a way to feel closer to the craft. I use one to honor the witches who had to hide, who were murdered because people knew their birth names; to stand in solidarity with our fallen sisters.
So, why two names? Some witches use two separate witch names. One for their coven to use, and one that is never to be spoken to others. The second name is between you and your deities or you and your craft. Personally, I don’t have any deities or gods that I worship, so I use my second witch name between myself and my craft. My coven witch name is Violet.
8. Build a connection with every tool you use.
There are many, many, many ways to connect with the items you use in your craft. Again, you don’t have to do what I do, but I encourage you to give it a try. You might like it! Here are some of my favorite ways to connect to your tools:
Sleep with it under your pillow. Take it with you everywhere you go. Hold it in your hands while meditating, or to your heart. Spend some time alone with it, really getting to know it as if it’s a person you’re interested in building a friendship with.
9. Find the best way to make sigils… the best way for YOU.
I’ve seen so many different styles and templates for making sigils, so which one is the right one? Well that’s up to you, honey. As long as you put your influence, power, and intentions into it, it’ll work just fine.
10. Remove negative words from positive sigils
When defining your intentions and expectations from a sigil, make sure you never use words like “not” or “won’t” these words are negatives that can be cancelled out through positive intention. What I mean to say is, focus on what you WANT from the sigil, not what you DON’T want.
For example, rather than making a sigil saying “I will not fail this test” try instead for, “I will pass this test.” Another example would be, instead of saying “I do not crave my vices” try “I am stronger than my vices”
I’ll go more about the reasons and explanations as to why this is important at a later date. Basically, just clarify your intentions.
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed and maybe even learned something from me. As always, please feel free to inbox me with any questions or for advice or anything you want. I check it everyday and I’m always here for you.

Moon Phase Basics
New Moon: This can be seen as a new start especially for intentions, ideas, and goals. Things can feel fresh and different.
Crescent Moon: Has been looked at as a time of relaxation, pause, or reflection. Can also be looked at as things developing and even a time when people should take action and take the lead on things. Whether you decide to take action or not, this is a time of waiting.
First Quarter Moon: Growth and action! Time to follow through with plans from the crescent period.
Gibbous Moon: “Perfection” is so commonly associated with this phase. Let’s dissect this more. The Gibbous Moon can be seen as a time where you should trust yourself, intuition, and intentions. There is a strong feeling of inner desire, needs, or instinct as things near the full moon. Clarity is coming and feelings or thoughts are becoming refined. Perfection here can be more so linked to refinement or purity of intentions and emotions.
Full Moon: Can deal with acceptance, clarity, really forming intentions, it can be about balance, completion, and it can be about awareness. At times it can make one “feel full” but more often it brings strong feelings towards your current emotional state, situation, needs, values, and wants.
Disseminating Moon: Gratitude, sharing, and maybe even peace are felt during this time. But here can be feelings of waiting or apprehension like the crescent moon. Sensitivity can be heightened in many ways. The dust is settling.
Third Quarter Moon/Last Quarter Moon/Half Moon: Some see this as receiving the results of plans, actions, and intentions. Some see this as a decline of what was built in the phases. Cycles are ending. Change and risk are more common.
Balsamic Moon: This is a time for reflection, introspection, preparation, meditation, rest, and maybe even surrender. One can feel sensitive and even fragile or a bit absent and distracted. Things can feel uneasy, transition and transformation will be on the way again. Some look at this as a “time of dying” on an emotional, spiritual, and mental level.
Void/Void Moon/Void of Course Moon: Emotions run high here. A lot of confusion, denial, escapism, and indecision can happen during a void moon. But exploration and tapping into the unknown can also happen. Most astrologers warn of starting new projects and relationships during this time. While there can be caution towards a void moon it can be a good time for introspection and healing.

The Hallowed.
a tarot spread for samhain.
1. The Coffin.
This is what needs to be buried. What in my life needs to be left behind?
2. The Grave.
Some things are written in stone and can’t be changed. What in my life do I need to come to terms with? What can’t be changed?
3. The Hallowed.
The veil between those who are living and those who have passed is thinnest tonight. What do the souls of those who have passed need to reveal to me?
