I never quite learn to stop making mental exceptions for specific humans during moments of infatuation, and then I wonder why I end up fucked over. I don’t even mean this romantically, though that isn’t exempt. No matter how grand someone seems, how stable and present, everything is transient. Enjoy it while its there, but don’t fucking depend on it. Relationships of convenience are nauseatingly common and so easy to become trapped into if you’re not being weary of how balanced the interaction actually is.
Stop hitting yourself.
