more Magnus music rambling...... How I Learned To Love The Bomb by Glass Animals

anyway i know nobody gaf but i see this song so much as the end of his and Tord's relationship. hear me out ..... again taking the song from its original context but bare with me

This song kinda made me think of the time when Magnus felt Tord slipping away

this one is self explanatory, him thinking it was just gonna be them and then. Tom shows up

"I'll never see you the same way" Seeing him be so ready to move on, it affects his perception of Tord and their relationship

"Which one is you, is anything true?" him not knowing if Tord ever loved him in the first place or if he was just a placeholder while Tom wasn't around

"What should I do, just pretend it's the same?" Magnus having no idea what he's supposed to do. he can't stop what's already happening, after all, so what can he do besides pretend nothing is happening?

"Once you get bit, a little bit of the pain stays" Tord could stay with him, and apologise for the ways he's wronged Magnus, but the hurt of what he's doing will always remain 💔

"you're just two sided so god damn indecisive, and it's deep in inside you" Being that he's two different people between he and Tom. He can't decide who he wants to be with (he doesn't quite yet understand polyamory 😔) and Magnus knows this indecision is seated deep in him, he's like this about everything 💔

"you switch it off, you switch it on" being his affection for Magnus. He keeps switching between adoring him to not caring he exists, or at least it feels that way to Magnus

"I'm sat there holding on for the bomb" Him waiting for Tord to "drop the bomb" that he's breaking up with him, as he knows full well it's coming.

"Maybe it's just a strange time that I found you in your life" Being Magnus wondering if he just met him at the wrong time

"Maybe I can learn to like all that I find terrifying" Magnus thinking maybe he can get used to the way things are going and live with it

"Maybe I'll find a safe distance 'cause I know there's a bomb in this" Magnus wondering if he should distance himself to make what he knows is coming easier for himself 💔

I know I probably misinterpreted most of the song but i promise that it's on purpose. anyway yeah this song makes me think of them hard. i feel like in a sense the lyrics fit their situation and it makes me crazy. Their breakup thing was messy as fuck and i feel like this song works for that. huzzah !
