Today’s Exhibit of the Day features the Komodo dragons in the Museum's Hall of Reptiles and Amphibians, as seen on 35 mm film! The current hall opened in November 1977. This retro photograph shows a Museum preparator hard at work on the gigantic reptiles—clearly demonstrating their enormous size! At 10 ft (3 m) long and 200 lbs (90.7 kg), the Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis) is the world's biggest lizard. In this scene, one Komodo dragon is beginning to eat a wild boar.

I've been hyperfixating SO BAD this week my brain is actually melting aghshddjdj.... I'm onto something with my princess and knight I swear.......... anyways I got stuck on unicorns yesterday and I already have an unhealthy obsession with the Unicorn Tapestries, so I wanted to make a piece inspired by that with the princess from a previous post :)

More 2025 comics so far. Mostly Hoopla and some Comixology reads.
Captain America Masterworks vol 3: You can tell the era these comics come from, good mostly for the classic art and amusing Stan Lee narration. Interesting as the end resolves the issue of Steve Rogers’ identity being known.
The Far Side: Surprised at how little I felt reading through this collection. You can tell this is early in Larson’s career. It has some good gags but it doesn’t land consistently for me.
Rex Libris: You’d think this would be up my alley but the comic was denser than I really was prepared for and I just felt dry at the end of the first issue. Not really interested in continuing.
Hey, Wait and I Killed Adolf Hitler by Jason: Reread Hey, Wait and read IKAH for the first time. The former starts off whimsical and then turns sad in a way that will stick with you. The 2nd shows a sense of dry humor. Not a fan of the more vulgar adult content, brief and mostly incidental as it is but I left the book thinking about what I read, which is what I ask for in these books.
The Adventures Of Nilson Groundthumper: This on the other hand was simple fun. Very much prototype Usagi Yojimbo. Amusing on its own, interesting as an early Stan Saki work.
