did any of y’all watch DEH for the first time and immediately become connected to Connor’s character? and then “these are the words he wanted to share with you.” “his last words.” and then “Connor took his own life.” and then you get this weird pit in your stomach because the character you related to and felt for, even if it was only within fifteen minutes, is dead, and then you’re thinking that Evan Hansen is probably feeling exactly what you’re feeling. confused and hurt and sad and you’re in denial because no, this can’t be it, we just started, he can’t be dead. and you want to learn more about him, everything you ever could have learned because you only had Connor for a short amount of time but he managed to make that much of an impact.
