Why did I not take up archery sooner?
Seriously, I'm better at this than sword fighting and throwing daggers combined!

Shadow travel? That must be fun. If you don't mind me asking, but who's your father?
Is it Thanksgiving Break yet?
Yea well. I try to visit her every day, I can shadow travel so that makes it easier but .. the coming back is never easy.

... Wait... Gah, sorry! I meant since Ty was five. I'm a bit sleep-deprived and have very little idea what I am talking about at the moment. Hopefully you're right...
Is it Thanksgiving Break yet?
Since you were five?
[ He scratched his head. ]
They’re probably just declining it because of your age. I’m sure that when you’re finally 23, and you’ve lodged another adoption form they’ll let you adopt him.

Amy walked around the room, homesickness running throughout her entire body. She looked at everything in the room and when she had gotten to the window, she carefully grabbed the curtains, baffled. "They're the same..." she whispered, her heart breaking as she yearned to go back home.
Hearing her mom's voice, Amy looked over at the blonde woman. "Your room... It's like an exact, yet small, replica of your cabin back at camp. Back home. How...? I'm sure that it has been an extremely long time since you've been in there..."
It's now or never... // Amy & Iris
"Ah, a god," Iris said to herself.
At Amy’s reaction to the lounge, Iris was baffled. She wondered if she the design of the room might have triggered something horrifying, or terrible, but what was so wrong about rainbow colours and free-trade furniture and decor?
"That’s all right—never mind," Iris chose a cup at random, her intuition telling her this was probably the colour Amy would choose. "Penny for your thoughts?" the goddess asked, pouring the tea and offering it to her daughter.

You got it. They had declined it a month ago. Which is extremely stupid because I have been fighting for the rights to adopt him since I was five.
Is it Thanksgiving Break yet?
That’s never good. Are they refusing to let you adopt him, or something?

"I love green tea!" Amy said excitedly before she followed her mother. "But... Here's the problem: his mom was a mortal. Dad, Brianna, Chiron and I help to take care of her and to keep her safe for Ty's sake, by she died. And his father hasn't claimed him yet."
Amy looked around the room, shocked. Her room... The Iris cabin back at camp had things almost exactly like the things in her mom's room. She didn't hear Iris's question.
"Huh? What? I'm sorry, but I didn't hear you. My thoughts were elsewhere."
It's now or never... // Amy & Iris
Iris craned her head to look at the phone screen, before giving Amy a small smile and leading her to the lounge. “Green tea with organic honey and wheat germ—with a splash of nectar. And he might be an Athena kid—you never know,” she shrugged. “That’d be a bit strange. But then again, I’m your mom,” she added with a short laugh.
The room was spotless - rainbow patterned pillows adorned the couch, and the coffee table had a teaset on it with all the different-coloured tea cups laid down.
"Which colour would you like?" she asked pleasantly.

"He's great," Amy began to say. "Wonderful, actually. He asked me if I had a picture of you because he knows that the gods usually change their looks from time to time, and he's curious about what you look like right now. Sometimes I think that he's a child of Athena with the way he acts."
It's now or never... // Amy & Iris
Apologize, she willed herself. The side of her mouth twitched as Amy mentioned Ty, but her face fell once realising that it couldn’t have been anything good. What a horrible person she must have sounded…
"Really? That’s…that’s good. How is he?" she asked, before stopping herself. "No, wait—would you like to come in? I just brewed a pot of tea."

When I'm 23 is the plan. But... The agency is being a huge dick right now and it's pissing me off.
Is it Thanksgiving Break yet?
[ He let out a low whistle. ]
Eleven years old. Well, it sounds like you’ve got the whole kit and kaboodle sorted. Are you going to adopt him after you’ve finished here?

Oh God, I know what you mean.
Yep, he is! I still can't believe that he's already eleven... Yeah, you are.
Is it Thanksgiving Break yet?
[ He nodded enthusiastically. ]
Understood. I’m craving a little turkey right now.
And Ty—that’s the little boy you want to adopt right? Am I getting it right so far?

I miss them so much. But... I also miss Seph. I forgotten to tell him about my little trip and now I feel bad.
Is it Thanksgiving Break yet?
That’s understandable.

When Iris had opened the door, Amy felt her throat closed up. Just apologize... Just apologize... Just... Shit. "Um, everything's OK. I just got back from camp the other day and... Well, I told Ty about you."
Which was the true. Amy had told her now eleven year old son about her mom. He was so excited and asked many questions about his "grandmother". One of his questions was if Amy had a picture of Iris on her phone, so that he could know what she looked like. Amy didn't have a picture, but she promised to take one of Iris soon.
It's now or never... // Amy & Iris
When the knock came, Iris had just finished drinking her fourth cup of tea. With a hint of nectar, the tea was even more addictive and the goddess couldn’t get enough of it. At least it calmed her mind, gently pushing her thoughts away from her daughter.
She had never felt so confused before—should I approach, or do I wait for her?
A useless question, now that Amy was standing right outside her door. Mug in hand, Iris took a deep breath and opened the door. “Amy,” she said softly. “Is everything okay?”
