Music Therapy 08 (Free Wind) – Stress Management and Sleep better with DRIM
Free Wind
This music was inspired by a sailing trip in the Tyrrhenian Sea in Capri, Italy. It depicts sea waves made through the piano's beautiful arpeggios and colorful ascending harmonies. Works perfectly for reading, relaxing, sleeping, working, spa center, hotels etc, or simply appreciating on its own.

This music was inspired by a dream of bird flying across the ocean and seeing stars and moon above it. Listening to piano music often has a calming impact that can help to alleviate and reduce negative emotions, while increasing positive ones. Mood improvement can result in many additional benefits to your life, such as improved social connections and improved motivation. Music Therapy 05 (Ancient Waters) – Stress Management and Sleep better with DRIM
Ancient waters
The quena is the traditional flute of the Andes. Traditionally made of cane or wood, it has 6 finger holes and one thumb hole, and is open on both ends or the bottom is half-closed (choked). To produce sound, the player closes the top end of the pipe with the flesh between the chin and lower lip, and blows a stream of air downward, along the axis of the pipe, over an elliptical notch cut into the end.

Music Therapy 04 (Oriental Bird) – Stress Management and Sleep better with DRIM
Oriental Bird
Delicate & exquisite, this music was inspired by a dream. The Oriental Bird flies out to the world and after having seen three great wonders it flies back home although not the same bird anymore. The music incorporates Chinese music with French impressionistic styles such as Debussy and is a song of Oriental nostalgia and elegance. Works perfectly for reading, relaxing, sleeping, working, spa center, hotels etc, or simply appreciating on its own.

Music Therapy 03 (River of Life) – Stress Management and Sleep better with DRIM
River of Life
The music was inspired by 2011 Japanese Tsunami that happened on March 11 that year. Like spinning currents or the evolution of a blossoming flower, the ever-ascending yet minimalistic music expresses the circle of life and beauty of the universe. We should appreciate life and finds positivity regardless of what comes our way. Works perfectly for reading, relaxing, sleeping, working, yoga, spa center, hotels etc, or simply appreciating on its own.

Music Therapy 02 (Heavenly Peaks) – Stress Management and Sleep better with DRIM
Heavenly Peaks (Charango instrumentation) The charango has become one of the most popular instruments in the Andean regions of Bolivia, Peru, and northern Argentina. The Quéchua and Aimara country folk of Peru and Bolivia prefer the charango with a flat wooden resonator and nylon strings.
The charango’s sound is powerful, high-pitched, and sweet. It is well suited to playing melancholy Andean ballads, but it can also produce a joyous, bouncy sound. All this depends on the tune being played, the musical style, and the type of charango. Traditionally, the charango’s bowl-shaped soundbox was made from the hard shells of armadillos. Today, most charangos are made of wood, which for many players has a better sound (this also conserves poor armadillos!).

Music Therapy 01
Hi! Welcome to Sherry Shieh's Deeply Relaxing Inspiring Music (DRIM) blog.
Music therapy is a type of therapy that uses music to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It can be used to help with a wide range of issues, including stress. There are several ways that music therapy can help to reduce stress. One is by promoting relaxation. Music can help to slow down your heart rate and breathing, which can help to reduce stress levels. Another way that music therapy can help to reduce stress is by providing a distraction from whatever is causing you stress.
I want to share my music therapy sessions with you and would love to see how my efforts work. That’s what I’m expecting from you. Stay tuned with "Deeply Relaxing Inspiring Music".
