Can we talk about how Joly had a very bad cold during the barricade part. And it's mentionned once and never again but he literally says "I will go to the barricade but not to the funeral because it's raining". He is like of course I will take part in a rebellion that may kill me but I draw the line at making my cold worse. And then he moves on and gossips about Marius.

Can we talk about how Joly probably had the worst two days of his life because he had a cold and he had to watch all his friends die and got NO sleep at all. And he was still going around to take care of the ones injured.

Can we talk about how Joly, the doctor and the hypocondriac, literally died with a cold.

It confuses me how normalized it is to be so anti human. The fact that two countries voted no to food being a human right. The fact so many people are against universal healthcare. The fact that it’s normal to believe some people don’t deserve housing because they’re poor, addicts, mentally ill, or any combination of the above. I find it so hard to comprehend that humans who have experienced hunger, thirst, cold, and illness would wish these things upon others, or at the very least not care. It frustrates me beyond belief.

These are the exact values we’re taught as children, to believe all humans are equal in worth and needs, and yet at some point you’re expected to grow out of that illusion. You’re expected to accept that this is what life’s like, that the world is unfair, and attempting to fix it makes you weak and childish.

How dare you bring grantaire to life in the most beautiful perfect heartbreaking touching devastating way. You terror of a man. How dare.

The joy and cunty swagger of your little flips, the way you touch all the Ami’s to show how desperately grantaire loves them. The way you portrayed how Enjolras is his sun and his heart. The gentle teasing and hugs and hair ruffles with gavroche, the love of a father doing his best. The way you show how gavroche is his world and his stars. The teasing everyone, especially javert about his obvious obsession and attraction to Jean.

I am still Devastated from the last battle. The way you just portray the grief of a parent losing their child. The frozen fear, the resignation, the pain. The catatonic way you clutch him to you, you shake him to wake him up because no no no he can’t be dead. The way you cling to Enj and he clings to you in that one moment of forgiveness and farewell. The cry as you climb the barricade, his desperation to be with his friends and his sun and his stars again.

You sir are a menace and an inspiration. You are grantaire and you will always be him in my heart from now on. Thank you, sir, for giving my favorite darling all the love he deserves. I love you so much.

cosette with poor emotional regulation skills because all she knows is hiding her feelings to not upset anyone so she has trouble identifying her own emotions and has mood swings and has a hard time letting herself acknowledge her own emotions if they’re too big or scary

cosette who projects her feelings onto other things without even realizing because that’s easier than actually facing them

cosette who knows something is wrong in her life but doesn’t have the vocabulary to explain it because it’s all she’s ever known
