[Princely] Reblog due to a cameo of a familiar face!
"Love ?"
The absurdity of the word echoed in her mind for many seconds after she said it, but she didn't let any confusion show on her face even though she was preoccupied and wondered what could possibly link her to Love in any way.
But she was like any mortal being, the word meant so much more than she realized.
She agreed to sit at the card table and grabbed the cards that presented themselves to her in such a mysterious way. As mysterious and unsettling as the rest of this endless room. Full of negative emotion but void of any moral sense.
Poker was an unfamiliar game to her, the cards she observed at her hoof gave her a poor advantage. But strangely, it wasn't her cards that were most important here, nor the chips that were being offered, but simply the march of her thoughts.
The bets were placed, the chips gathered in the center of the table, and the other players who had invited themselves into the game at one time or another were drinking and laughing while chatting. The atmosphere was good and warm. An atmosphere that she had not known for so long.
The host quietly shuffled the cards.
There was no logical sense in the different steps, the rules were not respected, the order did not follow… nothing made any fucking sense.
Yet everything seemed so normal, so simple and so pleasant. The gloomy atmosphere was soon forgotten and White Blade's game partners, 4 in number, were chatting away.
"Will you let me drink alone?" Asked the stallion next to her, handing her a glass of champagne in that clear glass, revealing that strange purplish liquid with bubbles.
"If you invite me." Answered she to his translucent interlocutor. But whom she knew so well.
They smiled at each other and toasted to this evening.
Each player at the table simply tossed the chips, swapped cards, talked quietly, exchanged glances, laughed at the misfortune of others, saw their bets lost, saw their bets doubled. One Eye, sitting across from White Blade, smoked his cigar as if nothing had happened.
He spat out a big puff of smoke that covered the whole table for a moment, before the smoke faded away between White and him.
"You know it's a waste of time?" Her father's friend will tell her, as if she is stubbornly trying to keep this long-gone moment alive.
"I know…" She took a long look at her cards before glancing at her other playing companions, the three of them dead and frozen next to her, lying on the table as if they had been like this.

Redraw of Good Ol’ Days!
also hi folks-
[Princely]: “SO, I was feeling SUPER nostalgic.”
As I was reading back on the good ol’ tumblr pony days when I was active and not dying– and ended up impulse redrawing an ENTIRE execution scene of the Murder Masquerade I hosted back in 2019! I really enjoyed hosting that game and seeing audience and players have fun!
If anyone who sees this post and didn’t know about it, way back in an old October I hosted a “Killing Game” where everyone was masked and in a party; however when the players stumbled inside… they got trapped- and had to kill each other to escape. It was a giant Collab of fun! If you want to check out the old game, go to @murder-masquerade! That post has the entire experience archived!
If you wanna check out the OG Post, I’ll be re-blogging it after this post~ Or you can [CLICK HERE] for the link!
———
Check out the individuals who were in the game! They are still amazing and deserve love- nothing will change my mind!!!!
@askangel-cakes: A cute and fluffy Pegasus who only wishes to lift your spirits. @ask-ariacewingate: A soldier taking a break from war. @askhardcoverhex: A very ambitious and sharply tongued unicorn. @ask-lazy-cloud: A no-longer-functioning alcoholic. @ponymaker: A little Pegasus that got plucked. @ask-peach-kisses: An Idol unicorn with a temper. @ask-reese: A sad and hungry boy. @missromancedy: A matchmaker who might’ve met her match. @scraps-is-busy: As chaotic in death as he was in life. @ask-summer-epos: More mane than pony.

And with the death of Summer Stars, a few of our esteemed guests gain their freedom.
Hardcover Hex committed a successful murder of the Host and got away with it.
Peach Kisses assisted in the Host’s death as Hex’s accomplice.
Lazy Cloud, upon her death, was attached to Hex and has been released along with his survival.
Scraps Scrappington Von Scrappers convinced the players to execute his target, Summer Stars, and is no longer bound to the house.
The rest are condemned to the house. Hardcover Hex has earned a wish atop his freedom, whatever will he want?
The Audience said:
It seems many were fooled. But some not so much. We salute your sleuthing skills, and thank you for keeping up with us! With that, we wrap up the game. Stay tuned for the wish granting!
Congratulations to all our winners! But one stands out above the rest. Young Hardcover Hex is granted a single wish. What will he wish for, I wonder?

What's going on with the game?
Hey. MaruMod. Sorry about all the delays on the finale, both the players and the mods aren’t exactly happy about that, but we might have different parts of the finale finished before the official final execution. The announcement of the winners and a few other things.
Would’ve liked for the execution to come out first, but unfortunately these might be coming out of order. Hopefully they’ll be out before December.

Murder Masquerade - The Cold Consultant
The chair stood empty.
The desk lay clean.
The feed played on, unwatched.
The lone resident, the solitary watcher, that shifter sifter of truth, had left his post. Temporarily. Taken up a winter residence. In a cocoon of blankets in the corner. A good working environment was…you see, vigilance wasn’t the only…and…there’s advantages to…
“What’s the use?” Summer groused into his steaming, fifth cup of coffee. “Nobody can hear me. Winter’s coming on fast. I’m not made of love. And I won’t get any more hanging around here. It’s unfair. You can’t expect gold from straw. Krrkkk, straw would be an improvement. A case without evidence? No better than a gut feeling. It’s a waste of my time. It’s a waste of my energy. And nobody cares.”
The feed’d been quiet. Bursts of activity here and there, but quieter than before. Even sharing their findings, the guests knew. In a day - maybe less - they’d come together for a decision. Maybe their last. Find the killer, or be trapped forever. He wondered, would there be a feed tomorrow? Swirling shadows, where once he’d seen a manor and a few frightened ponies?
Or would they leave nothing behind?
“Fine.” Summer stood on shivering legs and trudged to his chair, blankets wrapped tight around him. “But don’t expect miracles.”
(Investigator’s Note: “If you want to spare both of us the trouble: This wasn’t an exorcism or a charm spell. The house itself killed the Host. The book somehow broke the deal between the Host and the entity in this place. Though I don’t have any hard evidence, based on what suspects have said in the investigation, their character, and their relationships, I suspect Hex.)

Player Investigations
Players were asked to investigate, and these are the fruits of their labour. Players are largely responsible for the outcome of the trials, but we would love to hear from you! You can vote at the bottom of the sheet.
Since this is a very special case, all ghosts are permitted to speak their minds as to who of the surviving players could have done it.
Votes will close at 9PM EST Nov 8.
You can review the case from the beginning from here.
Hardcover Hex: “When everything is put together it looks like anyone could have done this. The book cover matches the charm drawn on the mask and they must have learned the spell from the book. From what I know except for Summer finding the body no one else entered the library the entire day. And since anyone could have done the ritual, she’s the best suspect since she was the only one to have gone in there...”
Lazy Cloud: "It's Summer. She was alone in the library where it happened. No one else really saw her, and she also found the body."
Romancedy: "I honestly haven't been paying much mind after well... being deceased. But... when I heard the host had been taken out I had to wonder just what was going to happen now! Someone with either great magic to release him from his body or the knowledge of a ritual to do so had to be the culprit. I know we should be relieved that the one who trapped us has been taken out but... what's going to happen to us now? Oh I don't know..."
Scraps Scrappington Von Scrappers: This one is easy. Okay, harder than my case, but I'm surprised we all haven't just left and gone home. Anyway, the killer was a unicorn who spent a lot of time in the library. The unicorn that spent the most time there? Summer Stars. Sure she claims to have been combing her mane most of the time, but it's easy to apprehend the host, and hold him down long enough to exorcism him if you've got hair that long. As much as I would LOVE for it to be Hex, it isn't. His alibi with Peach is actually pretty accurate, and they have been doing stuff together all day. I doubt Peach would alibi for a killer knowingly. Summer Stars has the motivation of wanting to rescue others, where at Hex just doesn't like people in general. So, product of elimination, Summer Stars is my bet.
Summer Stars: She started by looking at the book on the table, she decided to look at the mark on the forehead of the host and wondered if it could have been done without the need of a horn. Summer in the end did not uncover much from the crime scene.
The following players remained silent: Angel Cakes | Ariace Wingate | Mayia | Peach Kisses | Reese

Summer Love: You mentioned you didn't need the books anymore. Had you finished reading them? What were they about, if I might ask?
I had finish two of them while the third was not interesting I’m not sure what this question has to do with the case tho they were just fiction books

Summer Love: It looks as though there's magical residue on the body. Do you know what kind of magic that is?
Don’t really say that I do to be honest I need something more than residue to identify a spell, I don’t specialise in spells

Summer Love: (To Lazy's ghost) Were you down in the cellar with Ariace, or up in the ballroom with everybody else? If the cellar, were you with Ariace the entire time?
“I was in the ballroom with Hex and Peach. You know the only two ponies here who I actually spoke to at all? Why the fuck would I be with Ariace? I don’t think the guy ever even spoke a word to me.”
