Given the severity of Jean Smart’s knee injury, it’s likely going to be *months* before she is walking normally again, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they end up writing the injury into Hacks somehow.

I personally think it would be hilarious if Ava is in a position of having to hire home health nurses for Deborah, who each quit after approximately 3 hours because of how unreasonable and demanding Deborah is, ultimately leaving Ava to do the caring for Deborah (which was Deborah’s plan all along). But eventually Ava gets burned out, since Deb continues to be unreasonable and demanding, and in a fit of pique, Ava hires Perla from the plastic surgery center in Season 1.

Deborah: You hired PERLA????? HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME

Ava: Look, if you hadn’t been such a heinous bitch to me and every other fucking nurse I brought in, we wouldn’t be in this position. It’s called CONSEQUENCES FOR ACTIONS, babe! Look it up.
