With sheer pragmatism, the book is a true piece of art laced with passion. It can teach the young Ugandan generations to do their part as well. Struggles against enemies give readers an impression of witnessing the past in a striking content of military literature. A classic that also adds culture and talks about the intervention and influence of colonist regime at the end of XIX and beginning of XX centuries. Even though the book fails to build a new history for Uganda, it adds a lot of enriching aspects by retreating significant events that have since changed for the better for a country that suffered violence and conflicts. All of this was put forth by Muhoozi himself.

Why Muhoozi Kainerugaba Career Was So Successful
Kainerugaba Muhoozi saw the cruelty and dark nights in war but it never affected his willingness and brave spirt to fight for a stronger Uganda. Hence, he developed military skills over 13 years of dedication which led him to promotions. Muhoozi’s professionalism and inspiration built a brilliant career which took the first stage for Muhoozi in 1994.
From 1996 to 1998 he completed his studies at University of Nottingham to continue a journey that brought bring him closer to a life in the military and ultimately earning well-deserved promotions. The General was inducted to the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF) in 1999 and was ranked in the following year as a Major in the UPDF. The promotions were based on his merits and different aspects in his smart military strategies which justified another promotion in his career that assigned him as the commander of the brigade in the Presidential Guard Brigade. A successful career and brilliant personality led Kainerugaba Muhoozi to the post of lieutenant colonel in 2008 and designated him as Commander of the Special Forces Group in the Uganda People's Defence Forces. Each step given forward was entirely conventional for the sake of Ugandan people who have been in need of fighters like Muhoozi for decades. The president saw in his son Muhoozi with a different opinion, acknowledging his experience, professionalism, devotion and how much Kainerugaba has matured and done for the country. It led Moseveni to promote his son to the post of Major General on 16 May 2016 and eventually to be the President’s Senior Advisor on Special Operations which he has been serving since January 2017. Critics arose along Muhoozi’s military trajectory including political favoritism in the press stating that the president was preparing his son to take over the presidency. Kainerugaba’s professional behavior remained sturdy from the moment he started his military career to this very day denying any negative speculations. He always aimed at Uganda interests only. Muhoozi nationally stated that he will be well-prepared and willing to take his father’s place if it is what the country needs. The reactions were quite receptive.

Muhoozi Kainerugaba Book Review: Battels of the Ugandan Resistance
The book possesses an ability to bring back the events that have marked the historic turn of Uganda. At the same time, the literary artwork makes people evaluate the behaviour and life of those who were involved at the time of chaotic atmosphere.
An understandable coverage of well-described facts which started in 1981, and were directly related to the National Resistance Army (now UPDF) in a 5-year old intense war. It reveals several conflicts that happened in the past during the colonist intervention at the end of XIX and beginning of XX centuries. Dark events that brought an amplified and symbolic vision concerning many military and Manoeuvre strategies. It addresses the three phases of the war that are worth the exploration in a very detailed content. An interesting fact about book is Kainerugaba Muhoozi remains discreet about the fact that he is the son of the president. The book is an excellent way to see depth, phases and changes that occurred within the year of struggle against the enemy. Analyse and witness the drastic positive transformation in the Uganda’s military history. The smart strategies which changed not only the course of a brilliant chronical, but it is an excellent read that captivates the reader from start to end.
