It's Manichaean Miku!

Manichaeism is pretty interesting. It was a major world religion between the 3rd and 6th centuries more or less, starting from modern-day Iraq all the way to China through the silk road. Eventually it was supplanted By Christianity and Islam and mostly forgotten (it survived longer in China where it mixed with Buddhism.)

It's based on this image. According to Wikipedia it's a portrait of a Persian Manichaean, from the Bezeklik Caves which are known for their historical Uyghur Buddhist murals. I had a bit of a hard time finding more information about it, though.

Here, have my ancient Egyptian Miku, I made it a couple months ago but I didn't post then because I wasn't happy with how it looked and changed it a little. It's vaguely from the New Kingdom of Egypt era (which still lasted for like 5 centuries 💀) Hopefully the hieroglyphs say something like "htsnmjka" or "htsnmjkw" heh

i drew a miku cosplaying the torchbearer today haha its not them, i just wanted to try the (somewhat dead) trend of drawing miku (yk, the brazilian miku thing), but i hope u guys still like it ^^

I'm a bad artist because I have no ambition to be a good one and I'm also late to this trend but I also know that I am almost without a doubt the only person from this background who a) has heard of the "miku from my culture" thing, b) knows who hatsune miku is in the first place, and c) is willing to draw her in a cape dress. anyway have plainfolk!miku. yes, she's a rag doll, and yes, she's sitting on the new harmonia sacra :)

About a month ago, I started seeing people on Twitter drawing Miku as different nationalities, and I thought, why not make a Florida version of her? I’m late to the trend as per usual, but I’m so glad I got to make this!

She is wearing a kuppayam above a kachimundu and a thattam on her head. Her neck has a kashimala and both her ears are adorned with jumka (though you can see only one from this angle).

P.S. : The only reason the caption doesn't have Arabi Malyalam is because I couldn't find an online translator. If you know how to write Mappila Miku in Arabi Malyalam or can source a good online translation tool for me, please reach out!
