Reasons why you should watch The 100:

A plethora of badass characters, each one complex with a distinct personality, values, and motivations

Clarke Griffin is a strong main character. She’s a respected and prominent leader, makes sacrifices for those she cares about, is fiercely protective and caring of her loved ones, and is a smart, resourceful survivor (plus she’s openly and canonically bisexual)

PoC & LGBTQ+ rep

 Solid sci-fi premise with a fleshed out history 

The plots are engaging with lots of twisty turns

The personal drama between the characters is just as exciting as the season long plot lines. Ther characters actually change and are impacted by their experiences. There are too many compelling character arcs to count

THIS SHOW GOES THERE. It’s not like other teen shows where they dance around violence and death. So many people die or are permanently injured, and the stakes are actually high. People make horrific choices but you understand their motivations 

So many BroTPs and friendships to root for 

Also a great mother/daughter relationship

Some of the romantic ships are fucking adorable. This show is a shipper’s dream

The first  love triangle wasn’t especially insufferable, which is almost never the case

They have an important adult romantic relationship, which is pretty refreshing as most teen shows don’t give a shit about the adults or have them as solely antagonistic figures

RAVEN REYES IS PERFECT! She’s ridiculously smart, sassy, and the all around best. I stan

Some of the lines from this show are so hard hitting, and there are recurring symbols that get you right in the feels

LINCOLN IS ALSO PERFECT and I’m bitter

I don’t get emotional for TV shows usually and this show made me cry on multiple occasions

Heart thumping fight scenes

Also great costumes! All the armour is goals and there are so many iconic eyeliner looks

There are four seasons on Netflix and the fifth one is currently airing. The episode and season length is perfect for binge watching

I was just curious who BTS is after seeing them on AMA. One eng sub video led to another and I ended up knowing first their names, then their personas, to random things like Taehyung was in Hwarang, Jimin has a small pinky, Rap Monster is the only member who can speak English fluently, Jin is the eldest, Jungkook is the youngest, everyone is lowkey afraid of Suga, J-Hope went to the same dance academy as Seungri and they love Bigbang like me. I think I like them now.
