I'm not saying I dislike the "having to wait for and earn the captaincy" storyline. There's obviously a lot of really interesting stories there and great character beats that have resulted in some of my favorite Trek characters. But there is an extremely noticeable pattern in which show leads need character development to move up the ranks

And who is presented as inherently qualified from the beginning

And before anyone mentions her, yes, I know we have Captain Freeman, but she's not the lead of her show

hi, came in to say that I absolutely ADORE your mareach fics along with the mute mario trope!! have to say that it was the first time ever I discovered someone going with that trope and ever since it's been stuck in my head, especially during paper mario playthroughs.

BUT! that also made me wonder: what are your thoughts on daisy luigi pairing? do you ever plan on writing something about them? or do you have some headcannons about them?

While I do love Luaisy, I actually headcanon Luigi as aromantic! I don’t really ship them romantically, but I can imagine the two of them having a very fun and sweet friendship. Something about a shy nervous guy having a boisterous and loud bestie is always so fun 😄 I’m sure he would hem and haw anytime she would suggest doing something adventurous but would secretly always love getting pulled out of his comfort zone by people he loves 🫶
