Fall 2021 is up and scheduled!

My lute/cello/drum trio BEASTS OF JOY play on SAT, March 14, 2020 (this weekend) @ Stanley's Pub //9pm show\\ 

Beasts of Joy plays first. They are multi-genre group with lute, cello and drums that plays originals and modern covers. Then Rubix starts at 11 or 12 and plays Jam Originals and some Classic Rock Covers.

Michael G. Ronstadt is also working closely with Rick Denzien again on releasing two new singles, including a smokin’ cover of the “Game Of Thrones Theme” utilizing Michael’s mandolin, cello, and kitchen-percussion chops. Debra Lee guest vocals in the track too! There is also an original tune co-written with Serenity Fisher, Rick Denzien, Shirley Carpenter and Debra Lee called “Don’t Give Up”. This track was initially recorded about 7 years ago and has been waiting a long time to be released, so it is about time we share it with you.

Shaken Earth Volume 3 is FINALLY out and slowly being released to all the digital platforms!

Michael G. Ronstadt teamed up with Common Center to do a live video/recording session. The two singles are being released into the digital world right now! it takes a while to disseminate, but will be available soon.

Rick Denzien & Michael G. Ronstadt from Slot-1 Records have teamed up to release an instrumental cover of the “Game of Thrones Theme”, featuring Debra Lee on vocals. Michael plays cello, mandolin and percussion!

A while back Rick Denzien and Debra Lee teamed up with Shirley Carpenter to write a song called “Windmill Angel”. Rick asked Michael G. Ronstadt and Serenity Fisher to update the tune with new lyrics. Michael G. Ronstadt recorded cello on it many years ago, but re-recorded lead vocals here in Cincinnati with Ed O’Donnell.

The Multi-Genre Cellist/Songwriter:

I am definitely feeling like 2019 is going to be a year of continuing the multi-genre explorations I’ve been diving into with even more focus, but I’ll make sure that each project and gig remains fun and exciting. Yo-Yo Ma once told the University of Arizona cello section back in 2004 to “...make sure that you always have fun,” and I take that suggestion to heart. I truly believe that if our work-life isn’t fulfilling and meaningful, as well as an honest representation of ourselves, I wouldn’t want to do what I do in this strange and spectacular adventure.

One huge achievement in 2018 was launching www.ShakenEarthMedia.com website, which is where Kenneth Stewart and I are selling sheet music and instrumental albums. We’ve already released Shaken Earth Volumes 1-2 and Volume 3 is on the way. Petie Ronstadt is mixing and mastering it in Tucson as I type!

I intended to release 5 additional new albums by the end of 2018, but that did not happen yet... but they will see the light of day this year:

Ronstadt Brothers [EP] - Live at Big Song Music House (Oxford, OH) in 2017. Featuring the the new trio lineup with Petie Ronstadt (guitar,banjo,voice), Michael G. Ronstadt (cello,guitar,voice) and Aaron Emery (drums,percussion).

Will Clipman (percussion) & Michael G. Ronstadt (cello) - this album is planned to be recorded in 2019 by Petie Ronstadt. It will be an instrumental cello and percussion album with Will, who I’ve wanted to make an album with for so many years. I asked and he said yes!
