Hillary would bring thousands of radical Muslims to America. Think we have a rape culture now and homosexuals have it rough? Try taking a look at the middle east where gays are thrown off roof tops. And women are beaten, stoned, raped and tortured.

Okay, well then. Normally I wouldn’t respond to this sort of thing, but you know what? I’m tired, I’m stressed, I’m pissed, and your arguments are so faulty you’d be kicked out of my debate club in a heartbeat. So here, you provoked someone into answering. Congrats.

First point: “Hillary would bring thousands of radical Muslims to America [who come from a culture that treats minorities and women worse than the US currently does.]”

A), as someone with a great many Muslim immigrants as acquaintances, you’re stereotyping them greatly, and you’re being racist. Those who come here and are so inclined as far as that mindset goes, are so happy to be somewhere they have no need to fear being bombed at night they keep their opinions to themselves, in my experience.

B) Even if your statement were true, how is the potential of citizens with that belief set somehow worse than the FUCKING PRESIDENT endorsing those views? You’ve lost me. Were Clinton to bring in, “thousands of radical Muslims,” they would be CITIZENS, and most likely treated with suspicion and given little to no power in terms of political beliefs, because of Islamophobia. Trump would be THE HEAD OF ONE THIRD OF THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENT OF A WORLD SUPERPOWER. Tell me how Trump is better, again, would you?

Second point, which is implied: Were Hillary Clinton to become president, it would somehow become socially acceptable to have, “gays are thrown off roof tops. And women are beaten, stoned, raped and tortured.”

A) thankfully, the opinions of a subset of the population do not influence societal norms (such as not throwing people off roof tops) to such a significant degree. Luckily so, or else the KKK (which whole-heartedly endorses Trump, if you were curious) would have changed society to the point where we still have slavery. So, no.

B) Fuck you. This makes literally no sense.

OTHER POINTS YOU WOULD PROBABLY BRING UP:

‘Hillary Clinton used a private email server!’

So did the Bush administration (The most recent Republican president), and countless other admins did too.

‘She’s a liar!’

She’s a politician. None of them will ever tell the complete truth if they have to; it’d damage their goals. However, I trust her to follow through on what she will do, and hey, at least she doesn’t lie about absolutely ridiculous things any fifth grader with a smart phone can prove wrong. (i.e “China invented global warming!” “I never said that!”)

Oh, and what’s Trump, again? Have you seen the meme “’Trump: I didn’t say that!’ Internet: ‘yes you did!’“

According to this site, a well respected political newspaper, “Trump averaged one falsehood every 3 minutes and 15 seconds.“ That same site says Hillary lies most about herself, but never about her stances, and she follows through.

‘The Clinton foundation is fishy, and needs to be investigated!”

The Trump Foundation used donations to buy a six foot portrait of Donald Trump. The Clinton Foundation has a long history of actually helping people. Oh, and it actually releases its tax returns. Next?

‘There’s fraud in her life!”

Two words: Trump University.

‘She’s no good!’

Again, look at this post, read it, and then think of Trump’s supposed foreign policies. Think of his reaction when the Muslim female president of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina Wajed, says no to anything. Think about his casual distaste to anyone who’s not white. Think of his ignorance. (”Puerto Ricans are my least favorite kind of Mexicans!”) Think of him having the nuclear codes, and of him being in charge of the world’s biggest economy and the diplomatic relationships of a superpower.
